Xu Ye captured Du Xianjun after stopping Gear agents and learned that Du had fled the Twin Star Corporation with his wife’s uploaded memories. Du explained his grief, but Xu Ye suspected he was still hiding something as the chapter ended.

Xu Ye confronted an old-woman Aberrant in an abandoned well and defeated her after she attacked him, only for a human-faced Aberrant to kill her first. Du Xianjun recognized the face, while Xu Ye’s disassembled body left him looking like an Aberrant.

• Xu Ye took Du Xianjun to the abandoned well and climbed down to rescue the old woman, accepting the gold she offered.
• Xu Ye carried the old woman out of the well, where she transformed and wrapped her elongated limbs and neck around him.

Xu Ye discovered that Master Miaoyu had become the Aberrant behind Evil Spirit Village’s wealth and learned that villagers sacrificed lives to her. After Lu Bushen killed Ah Huang as an offering, Xu Ye planned to deliver a package to the village chief’s house.

• Xu Ye found Master Miaoyu’s grave and realized the face Aberrant was her, while the Bandit Lord explained that the village had only one Aberrant.
• Lu Bushen told the villagers that the God of Wealth demanded more lives, drugged Ah Huang, and killed him with a shovel.
• Lu Ming carried Ah Huang’s body through the rain to offer it at the temple.

• Athos realized that memories of the end of the Fourth Era had been erased and suspected a deity had tampered with them.

As the Parrot sailed for Uman City, Xu Ye discovered Athos had made him forget the Curse Notebook and its coordinates, while an unseen presence aboard the ship ate in the captain’s quarters.

• Yang Chang told Xu Ye that Tyrant was the Mechanical Emperor’s projection and that Tyrant had specifically wanted to find him before returning home.
• Yang Chang left Xu Ye God's Right Hand and warned him to beware ancient organisms and gods before his doppelganger shattered.

• An unknown voice discussed the Death God's return, its plans to seize the Death God's Authority, and the strange gaps in its memories before burning its tongue.
• Ye Weiyang traveled with Ye Shan and Qin Yimo to the Sanctuary, where Qin Yimo tried and failed to court her.
• Ye Weiyang saw the Sanctuary’s underground town, learned that its two hundred thousand residents knew about the dangers outside, and was sent to meet the Prophet.
• Ye Weiyang asked the Prophet where Xu Ye was, whether he was in danger, and whether they could marry; the Prophet said he could not peer into Xu Ye.
• The Prophet began telling Ye Weiyang about the world, the Sanctuary, and the Deities, revealing that the Sanctuary carried on Great Xia’s traditions.

Ye Weiyang learned the Sanctuary’s history and its search for a Saintess and a transmigrator, while Xu Ye and Qin Feng planned to investigate the Parrot and its Aberrants. Their plans turned urgent when Zhang Bin was found dead.

• The prophet told Ye Weiyang that Yantian founded the Sanctuary after arriving from Earth, later used a Taboo Object and Sequence Talent to pass the Human Self-Destruction Act, and left the Sanctuary seeking a New World.
• The prophet said the Sanctuary knew little about the Saintess or this era’s transmigrator, and Ye Weiyang guessed A-Ye was the transmigrator; he also called the deities homeless people.

• Xu Ye and Qin Feng found Zhang Bin dead, and Xu Ye identified the silent gun used to kill him.
• Xu Ye told Qin Feng and Ivy that Zhang Bin had inherited the Death God Proxy right, killed his wife, and blamed the ship’s crew for her disappearance; Li Qiong had killed Zhang Bin but was a Holy Grail Contestant.
