Lu Mi survived the Mother’s Memorial Day instance, uncovered the tragedy behind “Mom” and the Ghost Infant, and escaped with Roman and Xu Zhi. In the Public Rest Area, he learned more about the game and began recovering fragmented memories while Roman stayed close.

• Lu Mi resisted “Mom’s” deadly rules, uncovered the corpses in the refrigerator, and survived the nights with help from Roman, who appeared as a masked man and later cuddled him in cat form.
• While collecting flowers for “Mom’s” anniversary, Lu Mi and Ning Zhuangzhuang were dragged underground, where the Ghost Infant killed Zhang Zhu and challenged Lu Mi to a puzzle game.
• Lu Mi and Ning Zhuangzhuang solved the puzzle, found evidence that A Jun had abused Xiao Lei and their child, and brought Demon Flowers back to the house.
• When “Mom” hosted her anniversary lunch, Lu Mi recognized A Jun’s return and exposed him, and A Jun attacked “Mom,” while Xu Zhi revealed he had used Ning Zhuangzhuang to find the mirror sealing A Jun away.
• Ning Zhuangzhuang took a knife meant for “Mom,” and Lu Mi used the Buddha Jade to help “Mom” remember and reunite with the Ghost Infant, and Lu Mi killed A Jun by carving out and burning his heart.
• Ning Zhuangzhuang crossed the exit and dissolved into red petals, while Roman pushed Lu Mi through after her, and Xu Zhi and Zhang Mei escaped too, and Lu Mi arrived at the Public Rest Area.
• Roman altered Ning Zhuangzhuang’s program to make her an NPC, then accepted a punishment that sealed his divine power for at least two instances, and Lu Mi learned about the game’s points and named deputy administrator 2044 Jiang Mu.
• Jiang Mu explained that the instances were shown as programs and that players needed 1,000 points to leave, and Roman returned with a wristband, and Lu Mi later suffered a headache when a photograph triggered fragmented memories.

Lu Mi and Roman uncovered Michel’s impersonation of the Butler and helped Noel recover her eyes to escape Bart Manor. After recovering and growing closer, they entered Bo'ai Academy, where their night patrol ended with a ghost questioning Lu Mi and neither Roman nor Cheng Cheng casting a shadow.

• Roman bought Lu Mi a smartphone, and Lu Mi entered the next instance with Jin Bi and He Shengguang.
• Lu Mi and Roman became Noel’s tutors at Bart Manor and discovered that her butterflies concealed the ruined world and that she became violent when they left her eyes.
• Jin Bi pushed He Shengguang toward Noel to escape an attack, and Lu Mi later rejected her claim to friendship.
• Lu Mi explored Noel’s dreams and learned that Michel had impersonated the Butler, blinded Noel, and killed Mrs. Bart.
• Lu Mi uncovered Michel’s Deification preparations, freed the real Butler, and helped Noel recover her eyes before opening the manor gates for the survivors.
• Lu Mi recovered his spiritual power in the Healing Area, shared Roman’s bed afterward, and began teaching Roman to read.
• Lu Mi, Roman, and Shen Yiwen entered Bo'ai Academy, where Roman suffered an acid attack and the teacher assigned Lu Mi and Roman to night patrol.
• Shen Yiwen heard Xiao Yi’s fatal encounter over the phone, while Lu Mi faced a burned ghost and noticed that Roman and Cheng Cheng cast no shadows.

Lu Mi uncovered the truth behind Xie Ping'an’s revenge and helped break his Contract, then entered a new instance as Yu Qingchen while Zheng Sinian trapped players in his house. The survivors found Yu Qingchen’s grave, but a supernatural loop in the cemetery left them facing something in the fog.

• Lu Mi and Roman learned that Xie Ping'an had been bullied and beaten to death, then watched Zhao Xiaoxiang summon his ghost during a ritual.
• Lu Mi showed Xie Ping'an the revenge Contract, and Zhong Zixian comforted him until it burned and left a Flame-Red Key behind.
• Lu Mi and the others escaped through the School Gate, and Lu Mi’s popularity earned him points and gifts.
• Lu Mi learned from Cheng Cheng that they had shared a past life, while Roman’s jealousy and strange behavior unsettled him.
• Lu Mi entered an instance as Yu Qingchen, where Zheng Sinian drugged him with water and tested whether he could play the piano.
• Lu Mi tricked Zheng Sinian into giving him the antidote, got him drunk, and freed Shen Yiwen and the other surviving players.
• Lu Mi found more antidote and discovered that Zheng Sinian’s plaster works all resembled Yu Qingchen, while Lin Junjun reported that Shen Yiwen had become a sculpture.
• Lu Mi led the group to Yu Qingchen’s grave, but fog trapped them in a loop, and Lin Junjun pointed toward something within it.

Lu Mi uncovered Yu Qingchen’s murder and escaped her prison, then learned that 2044 had caused his memory loss and brought him into the game. In the Human-Ghost Showdown, he exposed Xu Zhi and freed Hu Pu, but Long Xi'er planned to kill the remaining players at the exit.

• Lu Mi won Ghost Tag, dug up Yu Qingchen’s grave, and found Cheng Cheng alive inside the coffin.
• Lu Mi learned that Zheng Sinian had imprisoned and murdered Yu Qingchen, recovered her corpse, and escaped with his friends after Roman buried her and supplied the black key.
• 2044 admitted causing Lu Mi’s memory loss and bringing him into the game, while Headquarters announced a ghost-identification challenge over shortened exit times.
• Lu Mi revisited his friendship with Cheng Cheng through the Dream Whale Night experience before entering the Human-Ghost Showdown and taking shelter with other players at Hu Pu’s house.
• Lu Mi investigated the deadly dog-feeding shifts as players died, their limbs weakened, and Hu Pu butchered Lu Dalu to feed her dog.
• Lu Mi discovered that Hu Pu was dead, stole her toy knife, and exposed Xu Zhi with a healing potion before Hu Pu chopped him apart and the players voted him out.
• Lu Mi visited Hu Pu’s former home, killed her wheelchair-bound self, and received the key after she thanked him and vanished.
• Lu Mi returned to find Zhao Huai hanging from a beam, identified Long Xi'er as another ghost, and prepared to leave while she planned to kill the players at the exit.
