Ye Fei woke from his cultivation that morning and watched a flame bounce on the tree. That was the spot Feng An liked to stay in when he visited.
Sure enough, now that the Disaster Phase had arrived, was he going to come over and play NPC again?
The feeling left him conflicted and helpless...

Although he could more or less guess that Feng An would be watching the show, Ye Fei still had to carry on with what he needed to do.
But since he was taking the little ones out, there were certain things he had to remind them about beforehand.
For instance, Big Dog's habit of wanting to take a few bites out of anything it saw outside...
He certainly didn't want to come home after a few rounds outside only to discover that hatched Demon Insects had burst out of Eclipse Moon's belly.

After Qingxue smacked Big Dog Eclipse Moon on the head and explained things clearly several more times, it obediently came up to Ye Fei and nodded with a serious look in its eyes.
Although it occasionally ate some leaves, some blades of grass, some fruit, and some vegetables...
It didn't eat bugs, not even bugs that hadn't hatched!
"Good. We won't eat things we find outside. Phoenix Perch, we're counting on you all to keep the house safe. We're heading out!"
Ye Fei patted the Phoenix Tree, then left home with the little ones.
With the Phoenix Tree guarding the
