Background / History

In his original world, Feng An lived for over two thousand years before gaining the opportunity to cultivate while fleeing human hunters. This experience left him hostile toward the Human Race, whose greater opportunities he resented. He nevertheless distinguished humans from his own world from those of other worlds and did not consider the latter responsible for his past 187 188.

As Wind God, he survived hundreds of thousands of years of conflict between gods and the races seeking to replace them. Rather than use faith to control World Origin Power, he occupied a divine position without accepting its benefits. Every thousand years, he allowed others to discover a genuine legacy promising godhood. Its inheritors became members of the God Race without divine positions, leaving them vulnerable to their former races; none survived to complete the path 188.

Before entering the survival world, Feng An created the being who became Long Heng and sent him to reincarnate. His own unexpected transfer prevented him from retrieving the child as planned. Divine-duty rewards later enabled him to locate Long Heng, but he initially chose to observe rather than intervene 662 727.

During his early time in the survival world, Feng An traveled widely to watch other players’ disputes and family dramas. His relationship with Ye Fei became more binding after Ye Fei’s transferred luck freed him from a spatial rift and the World Seal, leaving Feng An indebted to him 248 253 340.

Appearance

Feng An uses both a human-shaped form and a snake form; the latter can become small enough to coil around Ye Fei’s neck 350 615.

  • Hair: Emerald green in his human-shaped form 450.
  • Eyes: Serpentine pupils 307 727.
  • Snake form: Emerald green; frequently used while resting on or near Ye Fei 615 620.

Personality

Feng An treats watching other people’s troubles as his principal entertainment. He engineers conflicts, sets traps, and deliberately provokes reactions from humans, gods, animals, and even Phoenix Perch. He attributes this habit to the boredom of an immensely long life and cultivation sessions that once lasted at least a thousand years 188 221 377 592.

His teasing often accompanies practical assistance. He supplies materials, explains cultivation, and protects Ye Fei while complaining about the inconvenience. He also believes that genuine understanding gained through one’s own cultivation is preferable to unnecessary intervention 194 230 311.

He is proud of remaining a Snake Demon and rejects the assumption that becoming a dragon is inherently desirable. His early conviction that friendship required equal standing makes his growing attachment to Ye Fei significant: he progresses from watching a weak human for amusement to plotting a permanent place in that human’s household 163 188 642.

As a father, he combines provocative training with genuine concern. Although he repeatedly calls Long Heng foolish and dislikes his Dragon Transformation, he ultimately accepts his son’s choices and life with Ye Fei, adopting the saying that children and grandchildren have their own fortunes 384 596 662.

Abilities & Skills

Wind Manipulation

Feng An uses wind for attacks, defense, movement, and precise handling of others 221 224 304.

  • Erases a half-demon player with 367 Combat Power using a tornado 224.
  • Seals Phoenix Perch’s fireballs inside wind and maintains a protective wind layer 221 223.
  • Lifts Ye Fei’s worried pets onto tree branches without harming them 304.
  • Dissolves into a breeze or gale when departing 249 340.

Concealed Strength and Perception

His visible information does not reliably reveal his full capabilities 169 194.

  • Normally hides his realm, stage, and Combat Power on the friends list 169.
  • Ye Fei estimates that his true form has at least ten thousand Combat Power, far above the earlier displayed value of 562 169 194.
  • Remains the strongest god despite possessing no personal divine artifacts at that point 666.
  • Through shared See Through, detects unusual soul information and can inspect what a player did during a particular period 673 695.

Spatial Movement and Remote Protection

Feng An can travel through marked locations and exploit connections between himself, Ye Fei, and hostile players 230 601.

  • Leaves a Serpent Scale at Ye Fei’s home as a locator and emergency summoning point 230.
  • Later improves the scale so he can remotely check for trouble at the household 373.
  • Attempts to open a spatial rift between regions, but becomes trapped by the world’s restrictions until Ye Fei’s luck frees him 248.
  • Uses attacks on Ye Fei and his debt-repayment obligation to reach enemies across maps, turning an Underground curse-killing formation into a means of teleportation 601.

Divine Authority and Rule Exploitation

Feng An completes divine duties and uses their rewards to obtain privileges unavailable to gods who refuse such work 637 662.

  • Uses divine-authority privileges to locate Long Heng after his reincarnation 662.
  • Exposes Mingyao’s interference with the disaster rules through the Mirror of Judgment, bringing heavenly punishment upon him 360.
  • Activates a privilege while wielding a borrowed Evil Artifact against the Wood God; the rules do not intervene despite the Wood God’s protests 637.
  • Recognizes divine positions as restraints and eventually removes his own shackles 727.

Soul Preservation and Recovery

Feng An can preserve a fading soul and provide restorative support, although healing is not his specialty 313 596.

  • Temporarily halts the dissolution of Long Heng’s dragon soul after heavenly punishment destroys his body 313.
  • Uses Ye Fei’s consciousness to build a tiny courtyard in which Long Heng can be preserved for revival 313.
  • Simulates Dragon Qi to enclose the injured Long Heng in a healing shell, despite possessing no natural Dragon Qi 596.

Cultivation Knowledge and Instruction

His experience spans cultivation, racial evolution, equipment, and other players’ advancement systems 169 248 331.

  • Possesses a complete divine-grade, nine-colored cultivation technique. Teaching it to Ye Fei would require Ye Fei to become a wind-type Snake Demon and his descendant 220 221.
  • Explains spiritual roots, cultivation fundamentals, and the distinction between advancement and attribute enhancement 304 330.
  • Consults powerful players from other systems to investigate Ye Fei’s unusual meridian-enhancement method 330.
  • Helps Little Phoenix learn wind abilities associated with its Feng An-related Wind Snake Essence 237.

Fusion with Long Heng

Feng An and Long Heng can fuse and separate in close coordination 727.

  • Their connection allows Feng An to share Long Heng’s talent access 673.
  • After testing complete independence, Feng An fuses with Long Heng again to retain his strength while avoiding the danger he sensed beyond the world’s restraints 727.

Equipment / Weapons / Items

  • Immortal Artifact equipment set — Refined after entering the survival world. Feng An states that this is his only equipment set and that he owns no divine artifact at the time 666.
  • Serpent Scale locator — Placed on Phoenix Perch; permits visits, emergency summoning, and later remote monitoring 230 373.
  • Nine-Colored Wind God Inheritance — Given to Long Heng as a Serpent Scale over his heart. It can be dismantled, fused, or refined; Long Heng ultimately chooses to keep it 370.
  • Mirror of Judgment — Used to reveal Mingyao’s disaster-rule violation and invoke punishment 360.
  • Damage-reflecting flying sword — Its reflected attacks count as Ye Fei’s retaliation, enabling achievement rewards during the killing of 11,901 attackers 615.
  • Ye Fei’s Spirit Sword — Borrowed rather than owned; wielded against the Wood God under a divine-authority privilege 635 637.
  • Former divine equipment — Recycled to extract energy for a divine artifact, helping sustain Long Heng’s divine soul after reincarnation 666.

Relationships

  • Ye Fei — Initially an entertaining neighbor and cook; later his creditor, alchemist, collaborator, and protected companion. Ye Fei mentally recasts him as a rewarding “quest giver,” while Feng An seeks recognition as an elder in his household 163 194 230 642.
  • Long Heng — His created son. Feng An opposes his Dragon Transformation but provides inheritance, training, protection, and recovery support. He eventually accepts Long Heng’s decision to live with Ye Fei 370 384 596 662 727.
  • Phoenix Perch / Phoenix Tree — A frequent target of teasing and a partner in protecting Ye Fei. The tree hosts his locator scale and eventually his proposed nest 221 230 729.
  • Fire Dance / Little Phoenix — Receives materials and wind-related guidance from him. Although he provokes it, he avoids genuinely harming the young creatures entrusted to him 237 248.
  • Elf Queen — Faction colleague and habitual sparring partner. She warns others about his traps; his advice to spread the Life Tree’s aura draws more beasts than her home can profitably absorb 377 406.
  • Lingbo / Water God — Fellow god who challenges his schemes, mocks his attempts to become Ye Fei’s elder, and discusses their children’s futures with him 642 662.
  • Lingyan — Powerful acquaintance and collaborator in a plan to lure hostile gods into feeding Ye Fei’s Spirit Sword. Feng An later learns more about Lingyan’s nature after visiting the courtyard 398 533 689.
  • Jun Mo — Recognized by Feng An as a promising cultivation talent and encouraged to settle near Ye Fei 273.
  • Blue Feather — Acquaintance whose Wood Demon Pavilion allies with Free and Unrestrained Mountain after Feng An supplies the pact’s purchase cost 441 450.

Story Role / Major Arcs

Ye Fei’s Neighbor and the Ant Siege

  • Establishes himself as a powerful, food-loving visitor, paying for meals with cultivation materials and trading pill recipes and ingredients for Ye Fei’s refining work 167 194.

Relinquishing Divinity and Joining the Household

  • Plans to shed his Divine Position and use Long Heng’s bond with Ye Fei to secure a place as a resident household elder 642.
  • Accepts Long Heng’s move into Ye Fei’s Home rather than continuing to impose his original plans for the child 662.
  • Tests expanding the faction boundary by 100,000 meters, but stops when the added territory proves to have thinner energy 710.
  • Abandons complete independence after sensing its dangers, choosing renewed fusion with Long Heng instead 727.
  • After his home is destroyed, assigns its restoration to those responsible and moves toward building a nest beside Long Heng in Phoenix Perch 729.
