Su Ming looked around at the buildings lining both sides of the street like a tourist. New York decades later really had a dark edge to it; the scent in the night air was almost exactly like Gotham.
Deadpool followed behind him, step for step, cutting apart his own intestines with a knife before tossing them onto the ground.
Earlier, Deathstroke had used Deadpool's neck like a spool, pulling out all those cancerous intestines and wrapping them around it, even tying several dead knots. Wade was having trouble speaking now.
"Why?"
He struggled to ask the question, unable to understand why Cousin had tried to strangle him with his intestines, then stirred around inside his stomach with an oversized Egg Beater.
Su Ming, walking ahead without looking back, replied casually, "I was just testing whether you could be killed. You were badly injured earlier, so I thought it was a good opportunity. If I could strangle you to death with your intestines, then we wouldn't have to look for Santa Claus, would we?"
"Oh." Deadpool nodded, then simply chopped off his own head, straightened out his intestines, and put his head back on. His expression was somewhat grateful. "Cousin, you really do love me after all. But the process was too painful, and I still didn't die."
"It's fine. We have plenty of chances. We can try slowly." Su Ming walked lightly as faint steam drifted from the street-side drains. "Next, we're going to find Spider-Man. Go find a car wash and rinse yourself off first."
