From Deadpool's perspective, the Skrulls were like bundles of walking gold coins, about to roll into his pocket. If everything went according to plan, this would be very easy.
But the Skrull squad commander did not see it that way. The tall figure beneath the lights at the command station waved a hand and shouted an order:
"Super Skrulls, kill him."
"Yes, sir."
The hulking men surrounding Deadpool responded with a roar. One warrior stood out in particular: his right fist was made of fire, his left fist of ice, his left foot of wind, and his right foot of stone. God knew how he had been made.
Only a very small number of Super Skrulls were born naturally, such as the previous Skrull Emperor, Dorrek VI, the current Commander of the Skrull Fourth Fleet, Kalrute, and the most famous of all, "Little Hulk," the child who named himself Theodore "Teddy" Altman but whose real name was actually Dorrek VIII.
Most of the remaining Super Skrulls were products of laboratory Genetic Engineering, and many did not even have names.
Legend had it that ninety percent of children born from human inbreeding suffered from various genetic diseases or were simply mentally deficient, but there was also a ten percent chance that they might become super geniuses.
Skrulls, as Carbon-based Lifeforms, also had Gene Sequences. They placed particular importance on the purity of bloodlines, with members of the royal family marrying one another. That was how the earliest Super Skrulls came about.
A freak accident that produced a genius once might perhaps be replicated endlessly through technology.
Thus, the later technology of modifying DNA through Incubation Pods and mass-producing Super Skrulls was an application of that theory.
Unlike ordinary sexual reproduction, these "big glass jars" used the genes of a single individual.
