A few minutes later, Deathstroke and the others stood atop a building a kilometer away, watching a passenger jet slam into the hospital. The explosion came immediately, followed by roaring flames.
Su Ming had plenty of planes. He just had the Adjutant remotely pilot one into the building.
Worried that it would not burn thoroughly enough, he added several hundred tons of white phosphorus and thermite, teleporting them directly into the hospital to set off one massive firework.
"All right, Carol, Daisy, fly over there and make a show of it. Just pretend to put out the fire." Deathstroke gave the women their orders, the raging flames reflecting off his armor. "Coulson, have your people arrive a little later. Seal off the remains once the building has burned down and keep the act going."
Coulson watched the burning building with a complicated expression. It was like a torch blazing in the darkness, and his smile was a little stiff.
"I don't know whether this was really the right thing to do, Mr. Deathstroke. Was this truly the best solution?"
Of course it was not. The best solution would have been to use the Time Stone to revive everyone. He had helped Thanos and Death not long ago, so that woman should have been willing to do him a favor and release the souls. Then Deathstroke could use the Cosmic Cube to fully restore the hospital, allowing everyone to continue living in ignorance as if nothing had happened.
That would indeed have been a happy ending, but why should Deathstroke do that?
