"Swear loyalty to the Court!"
The enemy's daggers and short swords threw sparks against her shield. Donna could not quite understand where these assassins found the courage to face a warrior head-on.
If they lurked in the shadows to ambush and stab people in the back, the Talons might have had some advantage—but only against ordinary people.
Donna herself was a living weapon created by the Titans to wipe out the Amazons. She was confident she could go Fifty-Fifty with her sister Diana, so how could she possibly be hurt by disposable tools like the Talons?
With a savage shield bash, the enemy before her was sent flying, smashing into a distant wall and becoming a splattered mess.
These enemies were a little too weak, so Donna could spare attention for Deathstroke by a shelf not far away. The man was chatting and laughing with Talia, looking as though they were getting along wonderfully.
Perhaps hired assassins simply always had something in common to talk about.
"I kick! I kick! Ouch! I-I didn't see that!"
Wally's red, lightning-wreathed figure kept Blinking around Donna. Quite a few Talons tried to rush toward Deathstroke, but Wally stopped them all and kicked them over for Donna to deal with.
But whenever the warrior woman actually chopped someone's head off or stabbed an enemy straight through the heart, Wally could not bear to watch and turned his head aside.
Only a minute had passed since the battle began, and the enemies were already nearly wiped out. That was only because Shazam was slacking off in the middle of the fight.
When he first saw the Talons' mysterious outfits and dark style, the big boy had been a little excited. After all, in games, the more mysterious a villain was, the stronger they usually were.
