But Donna was here, and she trusted Harley deeply—a trust that even her sister Diana could never have placed in a psychopath.

She had seen Harley's abilities firsthand. Harley looked like an ordinary person, but this psychologist could practically read people's minds. As she put it, everyone had a Thought Bubble over their heads, and most people could not hide anything from her eyes.

There had indeed been a few exceptions immune to this ability, but those were Batman and Joker. One had a bubble filled with so much darkness that no words could be seen, while the other's mind was nothing but an encyclopedia of boring jokes.

Deathstroke's bubble contained nothing at all because Tenth Metal blocked it. Deadpool was the exact opposite—his bubble was packed wall to wall with nonsense, so long-winded that no one could be bothered to read it.

Hearing Harley say this, Donna nodded at Raven. Raven immediately understood, raising a hand to tear open the wall of the energy prison with magic.

"What are you doing?" Amo jumped off the bed with a startled expression, trying to get as far away from the Amazons as the limited space allowed. "I'm your friend, and I'm a normal human, I—"

"Liar." Harley pulled a huge hammer from her waist pouch and blocked the doorway. Leaning seductively against the frame, she said, "The way you looked at me was wrong. That was your tell, dummy."

Gale seemed about to say something, but Raven's second spell followed immediately. Countless black tentacles shot out from the floor and ceiling, gripping him tightly. Then came Donna's two-handed thrust.
