Clearly, Batman had prepared for this long ago. He fabricated identities for the three of them in this era—where they were born, what experiences they had, why they had appeared here—everything was explained flawlessly, without a single loophole.
As for why the Ancestor asked why the three were dressed so strangely and carrying weapons, the explanation was that they came from a traveling circus, journeying all across the United States. The weapons were merely to deal with Native Americans who might appear at any moment and attack them.
In his version, Diana was the circus's female Strongman, Batwoman performed as an aerialist, and Deadpool was the Joker who livened up the atmosphere. His face was especially ugly and very funny.
