God had divided himself into many parts, each with a different name. Among them, the Voice of God and the Sound of God were easily confused in China because their translated names were so similar.
But as long as one saw what they looked like, it became clear that the difference was considerable—so great that confusing them was difficult.
The Voice of God, as its name suggested, was simply fragments of God's voice. It had no physical body, and when it descended into the mortal world, it usually appeared in the form of a small dog.
Most of the time, it chose to be a Schnauzer, though not always. Sometimes it became a Yorkshire Terrier, a Springer Spaniel, a Pug, a Border Collie, or something else entirely, depending on its mood.
Occasionally, it appeared as a combination of man and dog: an elderly white man walking a dog. When it spoke, the man said one sentence and the dog said the next, though both were actually it.
Among God's many avatars, it played the role of messenger and diplomat. Its temperament was exceptionally mild, and it could even get along with Lucifer.
Some said it possessed the power to bewitch people's hearts and served as God's ultimate mouthpiece, with its adorable little-dog appearance merely a disguise. Yet no one had ever seen the Voice of God fight. It seemed to truly be an anti-violence advocate.
The Sound of God, also called "the Word" or "the Proverb," was the first sentence God ever spoke. No one knew exactly what that sentence was, but it represented the cold and merciless extermination of those who defied God.
It looked somewhat like The Spectre—the famous green-hooded spectre, Wrath of God. The only difference was that its Cloak was red.
