The situation looked strange, like a glowing transparent bubble floating on a black sea, rising and falling with invisible waves.
The black substance formed tentacles, some cylindrical, some triangular. They seemed both real and illusory, flickering unsteadily as they continuously pressed against the glowing bubble.
Yet it was as though they had struck an "Air Wall." They could only scrape along its edge, grinding out sparks.
Even so, the 40K Universe remained utterly unmoved. Its radiance even grew stronger. At least for the moment, it held the advantage.
Within that transparent bubble, in the void between Parallel Universes, Elaine had been playfully scuffling with Uncle Lucifer when a tiny figure with a bowl cut suddenly appeared beside them.
He had appeared too abruptly. Even God and Satan had noticed no warning signs, so they both froze for a moment when he appeared. The boy kept a relatively safe distance before calmly speaking first:
"Please do not attack, divine beings. I am Franklin Von Doom from 40K Earth. By order of Supreme Mage Deathstroke, I have come to meet with you and provide every possible form of assistance."
Little Rich from the Cancerverse and the original Franklin of 40K were quite different from one another.
The former was mentally mature and had long been able to stand on his own. Moreover, both his abilities and computational power had been elevated after receiving support from the Beyond Realm. The latter was not weak either, and could be considered among the strongest of his peers, but because he had been protected too well, he still had the temperament of a child and spent most of his time playing with toys alongside his sisters.
Lucifer and Elaine lowered their hands and exchanged a glance. Neither spoke, but the meaning in their eyes was obvious.
