A Brief History of Earth

Hela's hand looked very white even in the darkness—the kind of white that left an imprint on the retina after just one glance.

She withdrew her hand, and the corpse she had been touching turned into a pile of black ash, fluttering through the air before falling to the ground.

"I read some of her memories. She had come here for some kind of 'prenatal checkup,' but during it, Attilan's own army suddenly stormed in and massacred everyone."

Su Ming leaned against an overturned machine nearby, smoking. Two red dots flickered in the darkness.

"Were there any warning signs beforehand?"

"No. Or rather, even if there were, this woman didn't know about them." Hela stood quietly where she was, her arms folded.

After thinking for a moment, Su Ming turned and walked toward the center of the room. "Read a few more. Compare the information. I'll inspect the surroundings."

The Inhumans were considered a relatively new force in Marvel. They appeared fairly late in the comics and had originally been Biological Weapons created by the Kree.

A million years ago, during the first Kree-Skrull War, the Kree discovered Earth. They noticed that the genes of a certain lifeform on Earth possessed endless potential: Homo sapiens.

So Kree scientists used various methods to abduct part of Earth's population for experiments. On the far side of the moon, they built the Blue Area, a massive comprehensive experimental base.

The experiment was highly successful. They altered the Gene Sequences of those Earthlings and created an entirely new race that could serve as weapons. As long as they were exposed to a crystal originating from a destroyed planet in distant space, the Gene-Seeds within their bodies could be activated, turning their superpowers from dormant to active.
