Su Ming kicked in what he had assumed was an exit, only to find that it was not an elevator at all, but something more like a vault.
By human reasoning, a passageway built into the wall at this location would have made the most sense, but the Inhumans clearly did not see things that way.
The moment he touched the door, Su Ming realized something was wrong. The small door was nearly half a meter thick, made of an unknown special semi-transparent material that looked somewhat like plastic.
It was light, yet incredibly sturdy. Even with his strength, he had not sent the door flying. He had merely deformed it, opening a gap wide enough to see inside.
Then Strangle immediately sent him a message. It had "smelled" a living person.
It was easy enough to understand. The scent of a living person was the air exhaled from their lungs, carrying that faintly damp yet unfamiliar scent from inside another person's body.
Su Ming immediately drew his weapon, cut a section out of the door, casually stuffed it into his bag, and crawled through the opening.
The place looked like an office. It was spacious, but extremely messy. It had clearly been ransacked, and then, after losing power, the people inside had been trapped here.
That was where things became interesting. Strangle said it could smell someone else, yet Su Ming and Hela saw nothing.
Not because the surroundings were pitch-black, but because the living person had the power of invisibility.
