Progress on Three Fronts

The wind at the edge of the crater was fierce, scorching enough to make anyone miserable, but Ancient One remained utterly calm, as though she were isolated from the world and unaffected by anything.

The Ancient One of the past had arrived in the apocalypse of the Future. It sounded fantastical, and she must have relied on the Time Stone's power along with profound magic.

"You said you could send us back. How?" Su Ming took out some snacks, and the three of them sat cross-legged amid the ruins to begin their discussion.

Ancient One picked up her canned coffee and took a small sip. "You were split into far too many pieces, but there is no need to worry. The fractured Timeline is extremely conspicuous among all Timelines. As they say in China, it's as obvious as lice on a bald head."

Zheng Xian smiled and clinked his wine glass against Ancient One's. "Master Ancient One really is humorous."

Ancient One smiled reservedly. "Unfortunately, my disciples clearly do not think so."

"Then what preparations do we need to make if we intend to return there and reconnect with that Timeline?" Su Ming touched the spot on his chest where the Time Stone was located and looked out over the red wasteland.

"Wait. Wait for a signal capable of crossing the universe and time itself—a unique resonance." Ancient One answered calmly, cradling the bottom of her coffee can. "Once the signal arrives, you and I can use the Time Stone together to achieve our goal."

"But according to you, at least a million versions of me are trapped in different Timelines at the same time. Can they really respond to the signal and converge in time?"

"You already have a plan." Ancient One smiled, pressing a hand to Su Ming's
