Leaves rustled in the wind as darkness enveloped the two of them, just as it always had.

Su Ming took a deep breath and decided to try taking the first step.

"Teleportation Portal, Land of Death."

With a swish, a purple Teleportation Portal bloomed before him. Though it was the same color as Magik's portals, it looked far more disgusting.

Magik's portals merely had tentacles that would drag you inside, but The Upside-Down Man's portal looked like some sort of living creature. Its chrysanthemum-like vortex kept writhing nonstop.

Su Ming closed his eyes. There was no helping it; he had no other choice.

After exchanging a glance with Cindy, she sighed as well, fastened her helmet, and followed him in.

The world spun around them, as if their entire bodies had been flipped upside down. The two fell out of the portal while hanging inverted.

Cindy was fine, landing on the ground with a flip. Su Ming made a move too, but his physical abilities were lacking, and the soles of his feet went numb when he landed.

She immediately surveyed this black world. Ash continually fell from the sky, while countless vacant-eyed undead marched in lines along the road toward a structure at the mountaintop that resembled a black-and-white vortex.

Countless footsteps echoed out. The heavens and earth were filled with a soft rustling, yet it seemed incomparably distant and quiet.

She was rather interested in how these withered corpses could move and retain their reason, but now was not the time to study that.

"Where are we?"

Su Ming gestured for them to head up the mountain and answered as he walked, "This is the Land of Death, also known as the Realm of the Dead. It is the final destination of everyone who dies in the Multiverse.
