"Who are you?"
The jukebox in the corner was still playing jazz. Under the bar lights, both of them had faint halos around them. Bobo spotted Cindy first, then Su Ming.
But something was off. Not only did he have two eyes now, even the sense of power in his movements was gone.
Bobo's first suspicion was that he was an artificial human or a Clone, and he began considering why the other party had appeared.
Cindy glanced at Bobo and shrugged. Sure enough, Su was still strange. He had actually brought her to see a talking gorilla?
But she had already seen far too many crazy things. At times like this, all she needed to do was drink.
She sat down at the bar and ran her fingers over the wood before her. It seemed there had once been a fire here, though it had been repaired well enough. Only a faint scorched smell remained.
Which meant the spot where she was sitting had once belonged to a charred corpse.
Fortunately, she did not care. Drinking while sitting among corpses had its own flavor. She removed her helmet, straightened her short hair, and tapped the bar with slender fingers. "Whiskey on the rocks."
Tracy, loafing behind the counter, wriggled slightly. "There's no ice. The power went out during the renovations, so it all melted."
"Tch."
Su Ming simply grabbed Bobo. Though his body was weak now, all four limbs were still intact, and all his fighting skills remained.
He went straight into Bigby's Grasping Hand, followed by an elbow choke. His other hand began grinding its fist into the gorilla's temple.
"You can't even recognize me anymore. What kind of secretary are you? Take this!"
Bobo, who had been about to reach for a weapon, gave up struggling.
