For some reason, compared to the killing intent radiating from Deathstroke, Batman Owl's utterly unconcerned composure was even more chilling.
Diana walked behind Deathstroke's chair and rested a hand on its back. She seemed somewhat at a loss.
It wasn't as though she had never seen someone with a Healing Factor. She had even fought monsters like Doomsday before, but this was different. The enemy's previous corpse was still lying on the ground nearby, yet it was as if he had an endless supply of Clones.
But these were not Clones. It was some sort of ability related to magic, and she could not figure it out for the moment.
Su Ming noticed her movement.
Yet his gaze remained fixed on the enemy across from him. He had removed his armor as well, speaking to the other man in an equally black suit.
Diana saw Deathstroke raise a hand toward the other side and make an inviting gesture.
"Tell us your story."
The other side clearly wanted to talk, so he would give him the opportunity and see whether he could actually say anything worthwhile.
The more Su Ming learned about his enemy, the more solutions he could naturally devise.
Given how confident he looked, and the way he called the Justice League his old friends, he probably would not mind talking about his past.
Batman Owl nodded as expected. Completely unbothered, he conjured a bottle of liquor with a wave of his hand, poured himself a glass, and began speaking while holding it.
"First, let me clarify something. I am not Batwoman. You may call me Bruce, but I have my own codename in the Magic World. I am Match Malone."
A faint, nearly imperceptible glint flashed through Su Ming's eyes. He nodded. "Match Malone. Not a bad codename.
