Su Ming gathered the Justice League, obtained Tenth Metal, and led the heroes against Barbatos and the Dark Knights. As the battle raged around the Cosmic Tuning Fork, Su Ming freed Cyborg, Aquaman, and Martian Manhunter, then asked Martian Manhunter to help fight Barbatos.

• Su Ming defeated Dawnbreaker with the Nightfall Greatsword, then learned from Slade’s memories that an enemy expected his arrival and refused Sinestro’s offer to join the Sinestro Corps.
• Su Ming regrouped with Diana and Barry, rescued Bruce and the aged Superman from Barbatos’s spire, and took the group through the Dreaming to the World Forge.
• Su Ming replaced his bones with Tenth Metal and equipped the Justice League, then the team subdued Dark Hawkman and crossed the rift to Challenger Mountain.
• Su Ming and the Justice League fought Barbatos’s forces, with Su Ming making a deal that sent The Devastator to Hell and helping Zeus’s lightning destroy The Murder Machine.
• Su Ming killed The Drowned as heroes from across the Light Multiverse arrived, then joined Black Wonder Woman in clearing flying monsters from the sky.
• Su Ming rode with Red Son Superman toward Barbatos, but his attack missed and he crashed into Challenger Mountain while other heroes engaged Barbatos.
• Batwoman led Su Ming to Cyborg, Aquaman, and Martian Manhunter, and Su Ming freed all three from their restraints.
• Su Ming carried the revived Martian Manhunter back to the battle and asked him to help fight Barbatos.

Su Ming helped defeat The Batman Who Laughs, then Doctor Manhattan sent him through the Source Wall into the Marvel Multiverse. He landed in 1925 Hawaii and began laying plans to establish a base and build wealth.

• Su Ming and the heroes restored Earth-0 with the Cosmic Tuning Fork, but their Tenth Metal energy shattered the Source Wall.
• Su Ming confronted The Batman Who Laughs in the Batcave, protected the Monitor’s brain, and fought alongside Joker to kill him.
• Joker killed the Monitor and vanished with The Batman Who Laughs’s head, while Su Ming was teleported away by the Comedian’s Badge.
• Doctor Manhattan explained that Su Ming could not stay in the uncertain future and sent him through a hole in the Source Wall.
• Su Ming crossed the Source Sea and entered the Marvel Multiverse, then landed near Hawaii.
• Su Ming met Bolde on Kahoolawe and learned that it was 1925, then considered buying the island and building an arms company.
• Su Ming sold his jewelry to The Old Man for a cashier’s check and returned to Honolulu with Bolde.

Su Ming built a liquor business into a vast enterprise, prepared for future conflicts, and watched Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes grow up during the Depression. As the United States entered World War II, Steve was rejected from the army while Bucky prepared to ship out.

• Su Ming left Hawaii for New York, met the Ancient One, and established a bootlegging operation with Gin managing the bar and distillery.
• After selling his stocks before the 1929 crash and profiting by shorting the market, Su Ming expanded his businesses and hired thousands of desperate workers.
• Su Ming arranged jobs and food for Joseph Rogers and Tom Barnes, then met Steve and Bucky and showed them how work gave people hope.
• Su Ming built factories, prepared supplies and safehouses, and kept in touch with Steve and Bucky as they grew up while world events moved toward war.
• After Japan attacked Pearl Harbor, Steve learned that his parents had died and failed his fourth attempt to enlist because of his medical conditions.
• Steve watched Wilson Enterprises’ wartime film and argued with a theatergoer, who dragged him toward the exit.
• Bucky and Gin rescued Steve, and Bucky revealed he had joined the 107th Division and would leave for England the next morning.
• Bucky took Steve to the World of Tomorrow Exposition with VIP passes and proposed spending his last night at home with him.

Steve became the first Super Soldier, but Su Ming stole the remaining serum and took Dr. Erskine away. As masked heroes emerged and Hydra captured Namor, Su Ming realized the changing world no longer followed the history he knew.

• Gin sent the man who knocked over the trash cans to the police, while Bucky took Steve and their dates to the exposition, where Howard Stark’s anti-gravity demonstration failed.
• Su Ming brought the group to Wilson Enterprises, where Jos presented instant noodles, then arranged Steve’s enlistment in exchange for rights to his likeness.
• Dr. Erskine selected Steve for the Super Soldier experiment, and Steve traveled to Caspian Camp before impressing his trainers and learning about Erskine’s work on the serum.
• Su Ming fought off several groups of infiltrators at the Brooklyn laboratory, exposed Fred Clemson as a German agent, and stole the last serum vial and Dr. Erskine after Steve’s transformation.
• Su Ming hid Erskine on Kaho Island as Steve’s Super Soldier project was shelved, while Professor Horton’s flame-powered synthezoid escaped its sealed burial and devastated a New York block.
• Dr. Holloway rescued people at the disaster site and became the masked Avenging Angel, while Steve toured the country as Captain America to promote war bonds and Wilson products.
• Hydra captured Namor after he attacked a German destroyer holding dead Atlanteans, while Jim Hammond adopted the name Torchbearer and became a New York patrol officer and masked hero.
• Su Ming learned that U-Man was helping The Mustache and German forces attack Allied shipping, and he concluded that the world had changed too much for him to trust his past knowledge.
