Su Ming explained the cosmic hierarchy to the Black Celestial using an airplane crashing into a building as an analogy, describing how the Beyonders exploited lower-level beings while powerful residents looked away. The Black Celestial sympathized with humanity’s oppression but said his people faced their own crisis, and Su Ming offered to help them return to the fourth floor in exchange for fighting the Beyonders.
