There weren't many classes left in junior year. With her recommendation for postgraduate admission already secured, Su Baizhou had been busy with part-time work lately.
Her family wasn't particularly wealthy, but as a gifted computer science student, she had plenty of ways to make money.
At the moment, though, Su Baizhou, who had rarely stayed up as late as she had last night, didn't open her eyes until noon the next day.
Her tall, mature figure was curled up in bed, her alluring, slender legs clamped around the blanket. The neckline of her pajamas exposed a broad expanse of pale skin, giving her a sleepy, kittenlike air.
It was hard to imagine that Jiangda's Iceberg Goddess could look so adorable in her sleep.
As for why she had stayed up late... she wasn't quite sure herself.
She just... inexplicably had.
Every time she was about to fall asleep, the slightest sound from her phone drove away all her drowsiness.
She didn't know what she was waiting for.
After waking up, she opened her phone and saw a friend request.
[Fallen Leaves Return to Their Roots] sent you a friend request.
Note: Luo Ye
Su Baizhou was speechless when she saw that name.
This freshman... who would accept a friend request from a guy who added girls like this?
Without hesitation, she accepted the request.
She had posted plenty of photos of Jiangcheng University events on QQ, something she was required to do as student council president.
So she blocked Luo Ye from viewing her QQ Space. After all, he was only an online friend she had met through gaming, and she didn't want her work bothering friends outside her university circle.
She wondered how this younger guy would react when he found out his gaming buddy was Jiangda's student council president.
Meanwhile, after finishing their morning classes, Luo Ye and his three roommates dragged themselves to a small restaurant across from campus.
They had been sitting throughout their classes, but a whole morning of them was still incredibly draining.
More importantly, they had an entire afternoon of classes ahead, and even an evening self-study session.
It was Monday, and their timetable was packed. In other words, Monday from hell.
"A large beef noodle soup."
"Black pepper grilled pork over rice."
"A small chicken giblet noodle soup."
Then the owner looked at Luo Ye and asked, "What about you, handsome?"
Seeing how distracted Luo Ye was, Wang Dachui gave him a nudge. "Wild Kid, if you aren't enthusiastic about eating, there's something wrong with your priorities."
"Huh? Oh."
"I'll have a small braised chicken rice noodle soup."
Everyone around him stared blankly. The corner of Wang Dachui's mouth twitched. "Do you want to listen to what you just said?"
"Classes must've fried his brain. Give him the same beef noodles as me. Beef will put some strength in him."
Luo Ye was still staring into space when the owner set the noodles in front of him.
Shen Qiao sighed. "Luo Ye, you've got unrequited love written all over your face..."
"I do not!"
Luo Ye bristled like a cat whose tail had been stepped on.
"And you."
Shen Qiao glanced at Li Haoyang with a knowing smile. "Did you get together with that Liu Bingxin from military training? What's with the goofy grin?"
Luo Ye and Li Haoyang were practically Mr. Grumpy and Mr. Clueless.
"Holy shit!"
Wang Dachui exclaimed in shock, "You got together with Bingxin?"
"Hehe, not yet, but she asked me to go to the mall with her tonight."
Looking at the all-brawn-and-no-brains Li Haoyang, Shen Qiao warned him, "Things are moving awfully fast. Be careful you don't get played by some expert at acting sweet and innocent."
"Don't you talk about Bingxin like that!"
Before Li Haoyang could even react, Wang Dachui got worked up.
The corner of Shen Qiao's mouth twitched at the sight. You're the real simp here.
After they finished eating, Luo Ye stared at his powered-off phone, torn.
He would have to turn it on to pay.
More than three hours had passed since he sent that friend request to his Fairy Senior on WeChat.
Would he see a rejection the moment he turned it on?
"Wild Kid, what's taking so long? Hurry up."
With his roommates urging him on, Luo Ye turned on his phone with a pained expression.

The moment he reached the home screen-
A notification popped up.
[Su Baizhou accepted your friend request]
An instant later, delight was written all over Luo Ye's face.
He paid as fast as he could and rushed over to his roommates.
Seeing his expression, Shen Qiao smiled. "Looks like she accepted. But this is only the beginning."
"I know."
Luo Ye nodded.
For him, just getting his Fairy Senior's WeChat was already something worth celebrating.
After a whole day of classes, everyone was visibly exhausted. They hadn't even had time for dinner.
Everyone except Li Haoyang, who was bursting with energy thanks to his date with a beauty.
It was almost eight, but the mall didn't close until ten, so there was still time to browse.
Seeing Wang Dachui and the other two getting ready to head back to the dorm, Li Haoyang asked in confusion, "Aren't you coming with me?"
"What?" The previously exhausted Wang Dachui instantly perked up. "We can come too?"
"Yeah. Bingxin said one of her roommates is coming along, so she told me to invite mine too."
"You're a true bro!"
Wang Dachui threw an arm around Li Haoyang's shoulders, looking ready to take a bullet for his buddy.
"I'll pass."
Shen Qiao wasn't interested in this sort of thing and prepared to return to the dorm alone.
"I'll also..."
Before Luo Ye could finish, Wang Dachui pulled him over and said with a sly grin, "Wild Kid, you've gotta come. Stick with your big bro Dachui and watch how I flirt with girls. Learn a thing or two."
That piqued Luo Ye's interest.
Meanwhile.
Su Baizhou returned to the Women's Dormitory to pick up the everyday essentials she hadn't taken to the faculty housing building.
Only she and Qin Yuwen still lived in their room. Of the other two roommates, one was starting a business and the other was doing an internship, so neither lived on campus anymore.
Qin Yuwen came from a loaded family, so she was still happily coasting along.
After packing her things, Su Baizhou sat in a chair with her chin propped in both hands, actually staring into space.
Come to think of it, that little stammerer hadn't sent her a single message since adding her.
You were the one who added me. Am I supposed to message you first?
Su Baizhou opened her chat with Luo Ye and sent the first message:
Who is this?
With his phone in his pocket, Luo Ye was at the mall, watching intently as Wang Dachui tried to flirt.
Liu Bingxin, with her cute face and long legs, was undeniably pretty, but her roommate was even more stunning. She was none other than Tang Enqi, the freshman beauty of their college.
She was also the girl Luo Ye had secretly loved for three years in high school.
This is so awkward. If I'd known, I wouldn't have come.
Both girls had clearly dressed up for the occasion: one showed off her long legs in denim shorts, while the other looked like a fairy in an elegant long dress.
They turned plenty of heads as they walked down the street.
However, the two girls walked in the middle, with the muscular Li Haoyang on one side and the somewhat shifty-looking Wang Dachui on the other.
Luo Ye walked beside Wang Dachui, his head lowered, without saying a word.
The group of two girls and three guys kept a whole crowd of men who wanted to approach the girls at bay.
Hearing a notification, Luo Ye took out his phone and saw Su Baizhou's message.
His Fairy Senior was asking who he was... right, she didn't know him yet.
It was his first time chatting with his Fairy Senior online, and Luo Ye's heart wouldn't stop pounding. He reached out and typed a reply in the chat:
[I'm Luo Ye.]
Then he seemed to feel that his reply was too formal.
Remembering how he'd looked into his Fairy Senior's popularity at Jiangda that day, Luo Ye added another line:
[I'm a fan of yours.]
When she received his messages, the corners of Su Baizhou's lips lifted slightly, and her slender fingers began typing on her phone screen.
Su Baizhou: I'm not a celebrity. I don't need fans.
Luo Ye's heart lurched when he saw that reply.
She doesn't need fans... does that mean she doesn't need me?
Is she going to delete me?
Luo Ye agonized over it, unsure how to reply.
When he didn't respond for a long time, Su Baizhou wondered whether she had scared the little stammerer.
A moment later.
She received a message on QQ.
Luo Ye: [Chat screenshot]
Luo Ye: Qin, I'm done for...
At the sight of it, Su Baizhou couldn't help laughing out loud.
