Feeding Play

Ren Yu did not move. He swept his gaze around and found, to his surprise, that the students nearby showed little reaction.

Something was off.

He had already prepared himself to be photographed and make the headlines on St. Freya's forum tomorrow.

Yet the students around them acted as though they could not see Sie crying while leaning against him, continuing with whatever they had been doing.

Occasionally, a few curious gazes landed on Ren Yu, but they only lingered for a moment before withdrawing, as if they were wondering why he was standing stupidly in the rain in that position.

Ren Yu secretly wondered, Could it be that they really can't observe Sie?

Then he suddenly recalled a theory from Quantum Mechanics.

—Uncertainty.

Sie, whose physical body had become a probability cloud, naturally could not be observed.

This had already been explained in the Bouncy Bouncy Phantom Sea storyline: if Sie wanted to maintain a physical form, she had to rely on an observer's strong impression.

And that observer had to pay with their life.

Yet Ren Yu did not feel that he had paid any price. If he had to name anything, all he could feel right now was Sie's heartbeat, body temperature, breathing, and the tremors of her body.

"It's all right. If others can't observe you, I'll figure something out."

"Since I pulled you out of the Sea of Quantum, I'll definitely help you rebuild your physical body. I promise."

Ren Yu sighed softly. In the end, he raised his right hand and gently stroked Sie's little head as he spoke in a soft voice.

"Mm..."

Sie, lying against Ren Yu, gave a soft hum. For some reason, her heart began beating faster as well.

Chapter 24: Feeding Play

"Ah—"

"Mmph..."

Inside the dorm room.

Ren Yu was engaged in feeding play with someone.

Because her physical body had been quantumized, Sie could not even lift a spoon. As her observer, Ren Yu could only take on the task of feeding her.

And so, the scene had become what it was now:

Ren Yu brought a spoon to Sie's mouth. She opened her mouth and held it, swallowed the food inside, released it, and then the process repeated...

Ren Yu did not feel much, but Sie, on the other hand, was so embarrassed she practically wanted to die.

She lowered her head like an ostrich, her cheeks puffing in and out while a flush spread across her face, as though she could not quite adapt to such a shameful act.

Yet she said nothing and silently endured the sensation of being fed.

Just as Ren Yu finished another round of delivery and wanted to pull the spoon out, he discovered in surprise that he could not.

It was as though someone had bitten down on it.

Ren Yu raised his head and suddenly met Sie's ruby-like eyes.

She clenched the spoon between her teeth and mumbled a few indistinct words. "Am I fun?"

"..."

Ren Yu's movements froze. He knew that "Sie" had come out.

After giving a light cough, he composed himself and put on a calm, unruffled expression.

"Do you need something?"

"Can't I come out for some fresh air if I don't?"

"Sie" chuckled, spat out the spoon, and teased him.

"Why did you stop? Keep going. Are you unhappy that I interrupted your little world for two with Sie?"

As she spoke, a trace of mischief flashed through her eyes. Pushing her luck, she added, "Don't forget, Sie and I are the same person. Feeding her is basically the same as feeding me."

"Well? Are you excited? Embarrassed?"

"..."

Hearing that, Ren Yu fell silent for a moment before saying with an odd expression, "Honestly, it's pretty fun."

He had never fed anyone before. He had only seen scenes like this in movies, television shows, and games.

Actually doing it himself did feel rather novel.

"Sie" clicked her tongue and tossed out another remark.

"Your words say one thing, but your heart says another."

"..."

"Whatever you say." Ren Yu looked at her speechlessly. "I kindly fed you, only to get scorned for it. No good deed goes unpunished."

"Your current state isn't what it used to be. After leaving the Quantum State, if you go without food for too long, you could very well die here from running out of energy. And as the only observer who can touch you, I can only reluctantly feed you."

As he spoke, Ren Yu gestured with the gleaming spoon in his hand.

"Sie" was rendered speechless, both embarrassed and annoyed.

She was embarrassed because she had to accept being fed by someone else.

She was annoyed because Sie had actually warned her not to lay a hand on that guy.

And everything Ren Yu said was true. She could not even refute him.

"Sie" could feel that her current form had already changed.
