Background

Sie was born in 2000 and lived at the Cocolia Orphanage in Siberia, where she became Bronya Zaychik’s sister figure. During the X-10 experiment, she voluntarily took Bronya’s place, became quantumized, and was lost in the Sea of Quantum. Her alternate self recovered her toy box and brought her back from the sea. 31 32 93

She reappeared in Ren Yu’s bedroom with a blue suitcase, frightened and disoriented. Ren identified her, explained that only a year had passed since her disappearance, and offered to help her find Bronya. Sie gradually accepted that he meant her no harm. 29 32 33

Her fear of medical examinations stems from the X-10 experiment. During her Moonlight Throne examination, Ren remained with her at her request, while researchers adjusted the procedure to make her feel safe. 111

Sie later reunited with Bronya, who had searched for her for years. The reunion confirms Sie’s identity and restores their sisterly bond. 107
