The control room door opened, and a calm voice sounded from the doorway.
"Rita."
"Ah, Bishop, you're here."
Bzzzt.
At that moment, Bronya's network connection to this control room was cut off again.
Chapter 37: Old Acquaintance
Mei finally managed to contact Theresa.
After learning that Kiana had gone missing, Theresa had been extremely anxious. When she heard that Kiana was now aboard the "Great White Shark" cruise ship, she had nearly dragged her personal Valkyrie—the Oath of Judah—out to smash through the door.
Luckily, Mei stopped her in time and also told her that Kiana was with "Assistant Teacher Yang."
"Assistant Teacher Yang? Yang Chengwen?"
In her dormitory, Theresa frowned and carefully mulled over those words. That guy seemed to be one of Anti-Entropy's people.
Suddenly, she put down the comic book in her hands and began comforting Mei.
"Don't be afraid. I'll go find him right away. He actually dared to abduct my niece? I'll make him regret it."
After hanging up angrily, Theresa dialed another number.
The call was quickly answered, and Theresa immediately demanded,
"Hello, Wadeline? Why did you take my niece Kiana to a place like that?"
Inside the bathroom, steam swirled through the air as hot water splashed across the floor.
Wadeline was taking a shower.
After hearing Theresa clearly, she helplessly furrowed her brows.
"Your niece? Kiana?"
"Of course!"
Theresa righteously questioned her, "That employee you introduced, Yang Chengwen or whatever his name was, took my niece away without saying a word!"
"He might abduct anyone, but he wouldn't abduct Kiana..." Wadeline muttered.
"Oh, whatever! Kiana was brought onto the ship by you people anyway, so what else is there to say?!"
That was true enough.
After pondering for a moment, Wadeline replied with a frown, "Wait there. I'll go look for her."
