After Stelle left, Sparkle turned to Jiang Yu and raised an eyebrow.
"Any thoughts on the current situation in Penacony, little troublemaker?
"You might not be the one pushed into the spotlight, but in plenty of people's eyes, you're far more dazzling and precious than that gemstone."
Jiang Yu frowned at Sampo's face before him and asked, "Could you use your own face?"
Sparkle gave him a look that said she had expected as much. The next instant, illusory flames rippled, and Sampo's figure vanished.
In his place stood a girl with twin ponytails. She wore a distinctly red-and-white mask on her head, a red dress, and wooden clogs, with bells tied around both ankles with red cords.
Having revealed her true appearance, the girl narrowed her light red eyes slightly as she looked at Jiang Yu. The smile on her face made her seem inscrutable, and she looked rather imposing.
The next moment, however, she raised a hand to rub her ear.
She had to admit, it really had hurt when Jiang Yu grabbed her ear earlier.
"You pulled so hard~" Sparkle looked at Jiang Yu, her tone half complaining and half teasing. "Why would you use so much force on a colleague, and a girl at that? You don't know the first thing about treating a lady gently."
"Who told you to turn into Sampo?" Jiang Yu countered, making it clear she had asked for it.
Sparkle curled her lips. "Was there a better choice than Sampo? It had to be someone you all knew, and someone whose presence in Penacony would make sense. There aren't that many useful identities to choose from!"
As she spoke, Sparkle walked over and sat beside Jiang Yu. Looking up at him, she continued:
"Hmm... Sparkle lost this round. Sampo was right.
