Li Dao reunited with Shi Hao in the Starting Ground and agreed to join him on a journey to the Kunpeng Nest in the Northern Sea. After the Willow Deity agreed to send both of them, Shi Hao prepared to travel with Li Dao.
Li Dao left Golden Feather Village with Black Fiend and reached Stone Village, where he reunited with Shi Hao and met the Willow Deity. The Willow Deity recognized Li Dao’s path as similar to one once deduced in ancient times, offered to guide him, and prepared to set out with them.
Li Dao and Shi Hao entered the Primordial Divine Mountain and were led toward its grounds by a divine servant. After Shi Hao clashed with a blue-haired boy, Li Dao killed one of the boy’s servants, leaving the boy frightened and the confrontation unresolved.
Li Dao and Shi Hao joined the gathered clans at Heavenly God Mountain for the planned journey to the Northern Sea and the search for the Kunpeng's Great Divine Ability. The leaders prepared to set sail, while the young cultivators continued to doubt whether Li Dao could fulfill his role.
Li Dao killed a youth who challenged him at the banquet, then revealed his ten cave heavens and forced the gathered factions to take him and Shi Hao seriously. The group traveled through the Five-Color Passage and reached the Northern Sea, where the Kunpeng Nest awaited.
Li Dao traveled with Yun Xi and Shi Hao across the dangerous northern sea, where a massive lightning-wielding fish attacked their treasure ship. As the battle erupted, the Green-Haired Man struck at Li Dao, who wounded him before being swept into the sea; Shi Hao then received Li Dao’s farewell message that he was heading to the Kunpeng Nest alone.
Li Dao crossed a deadly stretch of sea and reached Yinsha Island, where he rescued Qing Shu from two pursuers. After Qing Shu warned him that ancient Baleful Spirits slept beneath the island, Li Dao sensed them awakening around him.
Li Dao and Qing Shu fled the Forbidden Sea as ancient killing intent awakened mounted warriors and drove them toward the Kunpeng Nest. They reached Qingyuan’s blockade, where Qingyuan ordered Qing Shu captured, just as the pursuing army bore down on them.
Li Dao and Qing Shu fled into the Forbidden Sea while Venerable Qingyuan fought the Undying Beings, then were captured by a ghost ship. Li Dao used the Divine Refining Furnace to free himself and found Qing Shu unconscious, beside a message on the deck: “Only I remain.”
Li Dao was pulled into a vision of the Ghost Ship’s mysterious creator, then recovered on an island with Qing Shu. After she offered to lead him to her sister, who might know where Yin and Yang converged, he agreed to take her along and revealed that he had subdued the Ghost Ship.
Li Dao and Qing Shu reached the blood-soaked waters near the Kunpeng Nest, where Fierce Tiger Mad Blade attacked Li Dao to seize his ghost ship. Li Dao held him at bay, but Mad Blade unleashed his renowned Fierce Tiger technique, leaving the fight poised to escalate.
Li Dao defeated and killed Mad Blade with the Divine Refining Furnace, then used the Ink-Wash World to kill several other cultivators and frighten the gathered crowd. He continued toward Withered Cliff with Qing Shu and Black Fiend, while news of his victory reached Merfolk Princess Qing Wei and the Primordial Divine Mountain.
Li Dao and Qing Shu entered the hidden world of the True Kunpeng Nest and used Qing Shu’s Heart-Piercing Bell to locate her sister. After half a month at sea, they sensed Qing Wei nearby, while Li Dao briefly felt an unseen observer watching him.
Li Dao reunited Qing Shu with her sister, Qing Wei, and learned the location of the yin-yang convergence near the Kunpeng Nest. After leaving the Merfolk treasure ship, he confronted a woman who had secretly followed him, and the Demoness revealed her interest in him.
Demoness recruited Li Dao for a partnership and gave him a single-use jade token that could conceal his aura from the Kunpeng Nest's restrictions. After reaching the Extreme Yang Cave, Li Dao entered it and began absorbing its extreme yang power to temper his body.
Li Dao cultivated in the Extreme Yang Cave, strengthening his body and tempering his Heart Sword to purify and empower his primordial spirit. After half a month, Shi Hao explored the Ancient Nest but turned back to consolidate his strength before facing its increasingly powerful dangers.
Li Dao tempered his Heart Sword and physique in the Extreme Yang Cave and Mystic Ice Abyss, then comprehended and created the divine ability Yin-Yang Disorder. Shi Hao arrived to retrace Kunpeng’s cultivation path, while cultivators outside either dispersed or waited to seize the two men’s good fortune.
Li Dao shattered and reforged his Heart Sword with yin-yang qi, advancing to the late spirit transformation realm. After leaving the Mystic Ice Abyss, he killed the cultivators who attacked him and met Demoness at their agreed destination.
Li Dao and the Demoness set out to rob Mo Shang, the Descendant of the Sea God, for his treasures. Li Dao overwhelmed Mo Shang, who summoned a divine manifestation with his Trident as the chapter ended.
Li Dao refined the Sea God's phantom, claimed its divine liquid and trident, and forced Mo Shang to flee. He and Demoness then targeted Mu You, the Yin-Yang Church's divine son, hoping to seize the Kunpeng Method he was comprehending.
Li Dao and the Demoness abducted Mu You and took the Kunpeng Method insights he had gathered, then joined forces to rob cultivators across the sea. After their robberies grew too risky, Li Dao used his spoils and new insights to reach the spirit transformation peak, with his cave heaven nurturing spirits.
After the Demoness left, Li Dao devoted himself to comprehending a deity’s insights while Shi Hao began robbing cultivators with the Little Pagoda’s help. Two years later, Li Dao completed his cultivation breakthrough, and the island where he had secluded himself sank into the sea.
After two years of cultivating, Li Dao reached the legendary realm and reunited with Black Fiend before heading back toward the Kunpeng Nest. He learned that venerables had entered in their true bodies and slaughtered more than a dozen experts, suggesting the nest was about to open.
As the Kunpeng Nest neared opening, Mo Shang attacked the Merfolk Tribe and threatened Qing Shu to draw Li Dao out. Li Dao appeared with the Sea God's Trident and challenged Mo Shang, but the chapter ended as one of Mo Shang’s subordinates attacked him.
Li Dao overwhelmed Mo Shang’s warriors and drove Mo Shang to sacrifice himself to summon the Sea God. A terrifying figure began to emerge behind Mo Shang as the sea creatures nearby bowed in fear.
