"Tch, it's not like I haven't seen it before. Besides, I let you see mine too. Neither of us lost out."
Lin Fan pursed his lips and continued looking her over openly, nodding now and then as though quite satisfied. It felt rather like watching a little cabbage grow up.
"You..." Yue Chan nearly died of shame and indignation. That shifty gaze was utterly hateful; her lungs were about to burst with anger. Was that anything a decent person would say?
"Look out!" Lin Fan shouted, rushing in front of Yue Chan at top speed. He slipped an arm around her slender waist and blocked the azure radiance.
In that instant, Yue Chan trembled all over. His large hand held her tight across her lower abdomen, their bare skin touching without anything between them. It was truly awful.
Worse, they were far too close now. The maiden's delicate fragrance and the man's scent were fresh and distinct, mingling beneath the azure moon into an intoxicating perfume.
This sudden turn shattered Yue Chan's tranquil composure. Unable to maintain her holy, otherworldly bearing, she gave a soft cry, her lovely face paling.
She immediately retreated at full speed, but Lin Fan followed, leaving an afterimage behind him. With a perfectly solemn expression, he said, "Don't be afraid. With me here, I won't let it hurt you."
Yue Chan wanted to cough up blood. A pink flush spread over her snow-white skin. This fellow was too outrageous, taking advantage of her while sounding so righteous.
Sometimes she wondered how anyone in the world could be so shameless. His skin was thicker than a city wall-thick enough to serve as a shield.
"Let go!" Yue Chan snapped softly, deeply uncomfortable, for his hand refused to behave, wandering over her waist, soft as mutton-fat jade.
