Forged from Phoenix Blood Red Gold and Dragon Pattern Black Gold, the Immortal Gold ruler grew in the wind. At that moment, almost every creature on Feixian Ancient Star felt an irresistible sense of impending death, as though a great hand had suddenly pressed down on their heads, forcing them to prostrate themselves without daring to harbor the slightest thought of resistance.

The red-and-black artifact in the sky was terrifying beyond measure. Black dragon and phoenix shadows danced around it, bearing surging Lunar Essence Extreme Dao might. Every roar and cry shook the heavens.

"Isn't this... a little excessive?"

The Solar Essence Quasi-Emperor was shaken. In her mind, Yuangeng had always been a relatively mild and rational supreme being. She had never expected him to strike with such ferocity. It, too, was wreathed in fierce Imperial Dao majesty. In an instant, it covered all of Feixian Ancient Star, dissolving the Eternal Ancient Ruler's Extreme Dao pressure.

Then the emerald heavenly light shot into the sky and manifested a claw covered in glossy green fur. It collided head-on with the Eternal Ancient Ruler. The heavens seemed to explode, and the star-sized ruler was knocked flying backward.

"Oh?"

Yuangeng raised an eyebrow, somewhat surprised. He had only struck casually, yet he had actually baited out a supreme being on Flying Immortal Star.

He raised his hand, and the Eternal Ancient Ruler immediately steadied itself in the void. It shrank back to one foot long and returned to his hand, while his gaze shifted to the emerald light that had just knocked the Immortal Gold ruler away.

That was clearly another Extreme Dao artifact: a set of nine Heaven-Defying Pearls. Each pearl was forged from the purest Immortal Tear Green Gold. Like nine Imperial Dao stars, they radiated murderous ferocity into the heavens.

"You dare provoke the Kunlun Immortal Clan single-handedly? You have some nerve, fellow Daoist!"

The nine Heaven-Defying Pearls had fully awakened. Behind them, a savage ancient world seemed to open, with sinister eyes opening within it. The will of an ancient being descended, sending icy fluctuations of divine consciousness toward Yuangeng through the pearls.

Yuangeng's answer was simple. He stood with his hands behind his back, meeting the gaze of the being behind the Heaven-Defying Pearls. His voice was calm; he paid no heed whatsoever to the Kunlun Remnant Clan's threat.

Judging a person by their artifact was the gold standard for assessing an emperor's combat strength in the Shrouding the Heavens universe. The distant set of Immortal Tear Green Gold Heaven-Defying Pearls clearly had something to them. Among Extreme Dao Weapons, they were not weak, but neither were they strong-merely at the level of an ordinary second-life emperor.

"We don't have it!"

The being behind the Heaven-Defying Pearls bristled with fury, clearly unwilling to listen to Yuangeng. The nine Immortal Tear Green Gold pearls aligned and manifested an ancient Huasheshe beast. As those words fell, Yuangeng narrowed his eyes. Without hesitation, he raised the Eternal Ancient Ruler in his hand. His Bitter Sea roared loud enough to shake the heavens, and a terrifying ruler shadow, bearing surging majesty, smashed straight toward the nine Heaven-Defying Demon Pearls.

The Immortal Gold ruler descended. The enormous Huasheshe beast manifested by the nine Heaven-Defying Pearls was sent flying backward, its emerald blood staining the sky. The Immortal Tear Green Gold pearls nearly scattered, and their Imperial Dao radiance dimmed considerably.

"You're courting death!"

A roar came from deeper within the shattered mountain on Flying Immortal Star. A block of Immortal Source as large as a small mountain flew out. The being within no longer suppressed his fury and emerged from his place of slumber.

Yuangeng raised an eyebrow. He recognized the being within the Immortal Source.

It was a hideous, gigantic beast with exposed fangs, a tiger's body, hedgehog-like bristles, and a thick, powerful tail. A pair of exceptionally muscular bat wings spread behind him, marked with uncanny Imperial Dao patterns. He was sinister and savage.

"Qiongqi! It's actually that Beast Emperor. Legend says he was born before the Saint Emperor. To think he has survived until today!" Si Qi recognized the Beast Emperor. The Qiongqi race was exceedingly rare; throughout all history, it had produced only that single emperor.

"Oh? A member of the Kunlun Tribe who attained the Dao after the Heavenly Court fell in the Mythological Era."

Yuangeng nodded and took a step forward through the void. In an instant, surging Lunar Essence Dao resonance erupted from within him. The Ultimate Dao Laws on the Eternal Ancient Ruler loomed like immortal mountains and ancient peaks, locking onto the Qiongqi Emperor within the Immortal Source.

"Do you wish to fight me, fellow Daoist?"
