Background / History

Founding and ancient era

Accounts of the God Realm's creation are inconsistent. One account states that the Gods of Life and Destruction created it, while Goodness and Evil formed thought and emotion, and Asura maintained order at its center; together, they became its five Supreme Gods. 155 The Dragon God later claimed that he had personally created the God Realm. 287

During the Dragon God Campaign, Asura wielded the sword that split the Dragon God in two. 155 The Dragon God's remnant later sought the God Realm's upgrade, believing that only a larger realm could provide room for the Dragon Clan and beings from subordinate planes to develop. 287

The First Generation Angel God, Qian Yuhan, ascended to the God Realm as a promising new god with the potential to become a God King. She later vanished, and her death was confirmed centuries afterward. 235 Poseidon and Asura were involved in the events surrounding her fall; when Qian Yuhan attempted to flee Douluo Star to warn other gods, Asura blocked her path. 154 155

God Realm Committee

The God Realm Committee convenes over threats to divine order and stability. Its principal God Kings include Kindness, Evil, Life, Destruction, and Asura. 155 301

• God King of Kindness — concerned with stability and later oversaw repairs and resurrection efforts after the Golden Dragon King's escape. 315 320
• God King of Evil — advocated eliminating Lin Feng as a threat to the God Realm's authority. 301 302
• Goddess of Life / Qing Xuan — a Committee member and Enforcer who defended Lin Feng and investigated unauthorized divine interference. 232 233 302
• God of Destruction — favored forceful action against Lin Feng and later relinquished his Godhood Core before leaving the realm. 302 329
• Asura God — maintained order in the ancient account of the Realm's origins, but was later killed by Lin Feng. 155 319 |

Godhood and restrictions

• Existing divine positions may be inherited through Divine Examinations; such inheritance grants the position's intended power ceiling. 157
• Divine Examinations rely on Divine Power and Faith Power. Many gods conserve these resources by having a powerful human servant cultivate for a century before sacrificing themselves to empower the inheritor. 245
• Other known paths to godhood include creating a divine position through faith or proving the Dao through one's own strength and gaining acknowledgment from heaven and earth. 157
• The God Realm restricted Spirit Beasts from becoming gods and sealed beast-race godhood positions within the Central Hub. 232 329
