"This... should do it..."
Klein stood before the full-length mirror in his inn room, scrutinizing the figure reflected in it.
The face looking back at him frequently appeared on the front pages of Backlund's major newspapers.
The "Hero" who had saved Backlund, James Scott, Viscount Viller.
"Something's still missing..."
As Klein assessed himself inwardly, he picked up the formal suit he had specially rented from a high-end clothing store in Bayam and deftly changed into it.
He tied his tie, straightened his shirt cuffs, and smoothed the wrinkles in his jacket. Then he stepped back twice and looked in the mirror again.
"With this outfit, I finally look somewhat aristocratic..."
Such fine, handmade formalwear was never cheap. Moreover, Scott's size was difficult to find locally. The deposit alone had cost him a full ten pounds.
Fortunately, the result was excellent.
His appearance was sorted out. Next came imitating the man beneath it.

By contrast, when he reverted to Lorne, he became much more casual. Yet he always had an unmistakably mischievous streak, and sometimes seemed inexplicably obtuse...
Tracy and Scott had spent so much time together at sea that they had probably done everything they should and shouldn't have. As an impostor, he had to strike the right balance.
After some thought, Klein decided that combining "Scott's" face with "Lorne's" personality made the most sense. That should be the easiest way to win Tracy's
