Messenger pigeon
While Klein struggled in the "Giant King’s Court," Neph was watching the Church of Steam and Machinery renovate their cathedral.
This was supposed to be an excuse to appease other Church, but it wasn't. Neph was surprised to notice that they had actually devoted most of the Church's resources to the renovation of the church, and Saint Hylarn Church was indeed their first experiment.
This was a long and tedious process, from determining the required function and form, to drawing design drawings, and then to manufacturing the necessary parts based on those drawings. The Uniqueness fortunate aspect was that the Church of Steam and Machinery had architectural plans for the chapel itself, and they seemed to have a certain preference in their routine maintenance—each time they would fill in the damaged material to keep the dimensional errors consistently within a very small range.
Regarding their behavior, Neph fiddled with Arrodes in her hand and asked sincerely:
"Do they have Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder?"
"This is a rigorous and truth-seeking scientific attitude," Arrodes replied. "Having this attitude will allow them to go further on this path."
"I don't think they've gone very far. Roselle invented the Steam Engine over a hundred years ago, and they're still playing with Steam Engine..." Neph muttered to herself. "Even if the lack of oil has somewhat limited them, Technology Tree isn't something that progresses gradually... They can't afford to miss a step and then be unable to unlock the rest, can they?"
This was just a sarcastic remark; Arrodes clearly didn't take it seriously, instead displaying silver text on the mirror:
What is Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)?
Neph glanced at Arrodes with appreciation. Such a question, defying definition, was of course insignificant to Neph. She casually tapped out a rhythm on Arrodes's body while looking thoughtfully towards a closed office door.
After the Church of Steam and Machinery remained silent for several days regarding the abduction of Arrodes, Neph paid Visit to "borrow" Arrodes.
As Archbishop Horamick had promised, no one in the Church of Steam and Machinery objected to her borrowing Arrodes —even if she only borrowed him for conversation.
However, regarding taking Arrodes away as a Congratulatory Gift gift, he insisted on obtaining the Pope's consent.
This is actually beyond the bounds of protocol. Whether it's Arrodes ' own word or Neph's understanding, if it only involves Arrodes himself, the other Angel of the Church of Steam and Machinery could approve it. However, the Church of Steam and Machinery's insistence on the Pope suggests another consideration.
"When you asked for me, you proposed that I be given as Congratulatory Gift ' The Fool '," Arrodes explained earnestly, "This is an act that carries a symbolic meaning. I think the Church considered this, which is why it insisted that the Pope, as the spokesperson for God, make the final statement."
"So," Neph concluded, "I inadvertently elevated the status of this matter?"
She stared at the non-existent Mirror, speechless, until Neph finally murmured:
"But the problem is, the Fool has no idea about this..."
--Poor Fool, he's still acting as her Oracle!
The Concealment deal involved was unknown to Arrodes; he only expressed concern about his future and doubt whether the Great Mr. Fool would welcome him.
Neph had no interest in comforting the Mirror's melancholy; she was instead pondering the reason for the Steam Pope's prolonged silence.
--First, ruling out any oversights, the fact that the Steam have positioned themselves in this War of the Gods already indicates that their True God has chosen their ship. Unless the Pope harbors intentions of usurping the True God and then betraying them, there is absolutely no other possibility.
And Pope with such thoughts...
Although in Neph's mind, this True God's rise to power was inseparable from luck, she shouldn't be so arrogant as to be this careless.
Neph initially considered whether the environment of Intis had played a role; after the fall of the "God of Combat," the "Eternal Blazing Sun," as its ally, did not hold the battlefield—in fact, they had no opportunity to do so.
The fall of True God has a profound impact on a Church. The Saint of the Church of the God of Combat fled the moment the orange-red light in the heavens faded. Few persisted, but those who did charge forward with a death wish, and thus achieved their goal.
>p/<. Fight to the death or run away, surrender -- then there are only a few left and the low-order sequence is very fast, don't worry about all the other high-order sequence, otherwise the high-order sequence will disappear.
>p/<. They turned around and immediately turned their spears towards their opponents. They had no idea what kind of battle they were going to win. After the War of the Gods left behind the relics in the dark night, they still had the will to fight for their own spiritual side. They were considered to be of high quality and would teach the War of the Gods.
>p/<. Stein attacked, and a team of soldiers from the Buren army turned around and leaped to the border, just as they were originally on the Buren border. They fell towards the opposite side of the border, and the low-to-high speed of the team of soldiers was quickly resolved by the Ksafer army.
>p/<. Cut off the call to stop, temporarily, stop the loss and choose the final "Yang Lie Heng Yong", "anchor" more loss can not be for
>p/<. The agreement was signed by Stein and his team, who were also part of a winning alliance. At the same time, Stein's army had already entered Enrue's territory, given the current situation.
>p/<. The terms and conditions are discussed in general--
>p/<. The discussion was over, and the retreat was the first priority. Afterwards, money and worldly possessions were exchanged for everything, and the demands were not limited to any particular item, such as war prizes or sealed goods. All the demands were for the teachings of Noyatis, who was only on the edge of the world, in a state of chaos within the teachings.
>p/<. The premise of the meeting was that there was no law, and they were trapped in a religious debate, even though they were at the table. That's how it is.
>p/<? The news has disappeared, and there is no way to restore the law of religion. This is because the original state is roughly like this--
>p/<. The results are too numerous to mention, even if it's not discussed further, it's not something that can be discussed much in the current negotiation scene, and it's just speculation.
>p/<: Dao Xiao Di, Si Ai's food begging for a pigeon, he and others scooped up the front field, Lan Erxi Saint from Fu Nai, will teach steam in the stay of St. Delos, will follow the example.
>p/<"? You stole from the west and east, but instead you turned into a pigeon? What happened?"
Then, the head of the church, Grand Master Lan Erxi, turned around and looked at the back of the figure. It nodded slightly to the head of the figure, and then let out a soft "cooing" sound.
Looking at Ais, he suddenly smiled:
"How about I use you as my Holy Emblem?"
"Goo?" Ais looked at her, somewhat bewildered.
Unlike symbolic Symbol, the designs of Holy Emblem do not inherently possess Mysticism significance; rather, they are more about seeking patterns that can provide a general representation of the realm governed by the True God.
In this respect, the White Dove is certainly not symbolic.
Whether in the past or present, the symbolism of the White Dove is surprisingly consistent in both cultural contexts, encompassing the two major symbols of Messenger and peace. These two symbols, along with Neph's Authority...
You could force a connection if you wanted to.
For example, Neph remembers that her Sequence 7 was called "Winter Envoy," and pigeons could also be considered messengers, with White Dove as Messenger being more symbolic. A unified color scheme is also somewhat acceptable.
As for peace, that's even easier to explain; after all, in a sense, everyone dying is indeed the most direct way to achieve peace.
However, Neph's suggestion was clearly based on other considerations.
"I'd like to grant you certain Authority to reply to my prayers," she said, patting Ais's head gently. "Hmm, I've done some research... While automatic replies are convenient, they're ultimately not intelligent enough. And since pigeons are Messenger, why don't you become my dedicated Messenger?"
She paused, her eyes crinkling into a smile, "Let everyone know that you are my Messenger, a pigeon I've raised since it was a cub..."
In this way, the image formed by faith will take root and sprout in Ais's consciousness, influencing it. Over time, it will truly become closer and closer to the image in the faith.
In a sense, this can be considered a way for Neph to restrict Ais's advancement—after all, she possessed the Beyonder Characteristic of the "Trojan Horse of Destiny"!
However, this can only be considered supplementary. The real way Neph could limit Ais was... to call in outside help!
If Amon, the current owner of the "Marauder" Pathway, might not mind causing her some trouble, then once Klein takes away the Uniqueness of the "Error" Pathway, she can finally relax completely.
"Anchor" is an extremely complex concept. Aside from faith—a means of combating pollution with pollution—memories and life as a mortal are naturally also part of the "anchor." Neph knew without a doubt that, as fellow transmigrators who had witnessed each other's growth, this experience was invaluable to Klein.
She can be considered part of Klein's human Anchor, so as long as Klein retains some humanity, she doesn't need to worry too much about this aspect. As for the fact that the consciousness of the "Lord of the Mysteries" has supposedly remained dominant for millions of years...
"Anyway, there are still millions of years..." She gently shook her head, "Whether we'll even live to see that time is uncertain..."
After all, even if we survive the Apocalypse battle, we still have to face the possibility of the Oldest One... after this war.
Maybe it won't take millions of years, maybe it will happen right from the Oldest One? Maybe that Oldest One sleep will be especially short...
... This kind of thinking is so unlucky, I don't want to think about it anymore.
Neph shook her head, looked at Ais again, and asked thoughtfully:
"Speaking of which... I've always been curious."
"Ais, have you ever had a moment when you questioned your past?"
--After Ais's memories were touched by the Sefirah, she rewrote Ais, but the result was far from perfect.
She looked down at Ais, her face devoid of a smile. Ais raised her White Dove -like head, mimicking her movement by tilting it left and right, and asked as if in confusion:
"Coo coo?"
It really does look like a pigeon.
This reaction made Neph chuckle. She put Ais on her shoulder, turned around, and said:
"Come on, I'll take you to see the commotion at the ' Giant King’s Court '."
"Hmm, where are they again..."
>p/<. The burnt traces on the city wall and the city walls, when the beautiful white and gray should be added to the silence, the beautiful red and orange light shining on the steps, the white and gray stone steps are in front of them Enlake.
>p/<. The gold-colored nails were inlaid on the surface, with a blue-gray tint. The door opened wide, facing a wall over ten meters high.
>p/<. A cluster of red-orange beads shone with a translucent light. Behind them stood five figures, each six meters tall, wielding a giant axe, a large sword, and wearing sturdy, silver armor. They were guarding the two large gates on either side, their presence exuding immense pressure.
>p/<!"Soldier Riding Silver"
>p/<: After a few seconds of silence, he knelt down on the high platform, his upper body covered by the "silver knight" Enlake.
>p/<". These two big guys are open, we can't avoid them, if they want to go in, let's see."
>p/<: slowly opened his mouth, Teyali Link
>p/<. We chose to go around them, but they didn't happen to us before, and this time they came.
>p/<". Is it possible that the trap is not on the upper steps? And is it possible that there are only two 'silver knights' here? Therefore,"
>p/<: He said with a laugh, the boat pushed the water smoothly and dry Enlake, the vigilant people were reminded that he was obviously thinking of him.
>p/<"? Is it too dangerous? You don't think the road ahead is safe. I don't think so. Head of the table, no, no, no."
>p/<. Full of nothingness, he looked at the sweeping, piercing gaze of Teyari Link. "What is it?"
"... I feel like I've retreated to the safe zone, and we can stop here. There's not even a god left," Enlake said, turning back towards the rest of the team.
>p/<. The upper body was born in the "world" and the emotions of the discussion were about to fall, even to the point of being extremely unwilling to show the extreme state of mind. The words "Ten" in the frame were shimmering in the light, and the hands were tightly clenched. The eyes widened suddenly because of this sentence, which was worn by Kerry.
>p/<. The words of the speech have not changed, but the apology was given to Klee by Enlake.
He saw that although the man was over five meters tall, he was still quite tall, even if Moon City didn't fear him. That's what he meant.
The way they struggled to climb the stairs showed that they genuinely believed the rest of the journey was not suitable for Beyonder were not yet Demigod.
However, those Beyonder possess a "Level 1" Sealed Artifact that resonates with them are, in a sense, exceptional cases. The Church of Evernight has such a Sequence 5, capable of fighting Saint with their Sealed Artifact.
But Klein was skeptical about just how far they could go.
He had never witnessed Sequence 5 warrior fighting Saint in a one-on-one battle. Even when facing Ince Will, the main force wasn't this group of small fry. Therefore, Klein's biggest basis for judgment was the qualitative change he could clearly feel after advancing to Saint.
--Keep in mind, even the "Marionettist" can be defeated by Sequence 8 "Clown"!
If Rosago had already become Demigod at that time, Klein probably wouldn't have even considered resisting; instead, he would have run away as fast as he could. After all, if Rosago had actually found him, he wouldn't have even had a chance to face him and would have been turned into Marionette instantly.
>p/<! The great shadow of the god is coming, this is it.
>p/<: Dao Wen Kerry looked towards him, a few seconds later Link pondered, Teyari Link, the head of the board, looked at him, the state of things, the complete words of the gods, there are still, they said, don't say more.
>p/<"? What do you think about?"
