When Neph woke up in bed, she was still a little dazed.

Last night, not long after, she received the noodles from the waiter. When she opened them, she found that they looked remarkably like spaghetti.

The deluxe room truly lived up to its name; it even had a bathtub. After dinner, Neph happily took a bath, playing in the bubbles until the water completely cooled down before reluctantly getting out.

Then she went to sleep.

It took Neph a while to realize that she was now truly standing in this world. Unlike the isolated "Forsaken Land of the Gods," she had truly come into contact with this new era and become a part of it. Neph looked down at herself and decided to buy herself two sets of clothes that suited the local style.

- Loen- style designs are also acceptable.

Actually, Intis isn't bad either— Intis, which once had Emperor Roselle, its clothing style should be closer to modern. Neph thought to herself as she walked out of the hotel.

Like some countries in Neph's memory, the Torster Island serves snails on the dinner table; thankfully, they are quite clean.

Neph didn't find any sand in it, but she did smell a strong garlic aroma.

For breakfast, the main dish was bread shaped like seashells. After eating two with snails, Neph grabbed another and continued on her way.

After buying the clothes, she prayed in a quiet alley and received a Wanted Notice for a pirate.

The request was not difficult at all. After praying, Neph went to buy painting materials. Painting was still a high art in this era, and she couldn't find a suitable shop on the island. After thinking for a few seconds, Neph prayed again.

Wouldn't it be better to entrust "Miss Justice" to handle the purchasing?

After lunch, Neph received the materials and pirate information she needed. At this point, she finally had time to think about something else—perhaps she should try to find some rice in this world.

Neph couldn't help but miss Frank, whom she had just said goodbye to yesterday. Without a doubt, he was a true expert in this area.

The matter was temporarily put on hold, Neph, keeping a low profile in the twilight, quietly stepped into a bar called "Set".

The waiter sitting at the bar was dressed in a red and black tailcoat, with his black hair neatly combed back, pale skin, handsome features, and blood-red eyes. Neph stared at him and easily sensed the life force emanating from him.

"Vampire"!

Neph began to consider whether she should back out now.

She quickly changed her mind. Scanning the area near the doorway, she spotted a perfect target: a face very characteristic of Feysac, the most striking feature being a large, Distortion, dark brown scar that ran diagonally down her left hairline.

It passed through the empty left eye socket.

In the Wanted Notice issued by "The Hanged Man" Alger, this person is named "One-Eye" Anderson, the first mate of the "Red Skull" pirate crew, with a bounty of 500.

In terms of value, this should be a Sequence 9 Beyonder. The official Wanted Notice does not specify this person's Sequence, only that his strength and speed are extraordinary.

In other words, his Sequence 9 Potion is geared towards physical enhancement.

For a Sequence 9, this means a lack of mystery; for Neph, it means easy to deal with, the first target.

She naturally intended to choose something simpler.

She was only there to conduct an experiment.

Neph stepped into the tavern without attracting anyone's attention. As a result, her presence was incredibly faint. Unless she actively sought out people, no one would notice her—she was just a hair's breadth away from disappearing.

Neph chose a spot in the corner, spread out her drawing paper, and planned to use sketches to get by during the experiment in order to save time. As for the carefully drawn paintings, she would save them for grand enough occasions.

Neph had studied painting, so a sketch wasn't difficult for her. The challenge was that she needed to keep an eye on whether Anderson had left, preventing her from fully immersing herself in the drawing.

This resulted in an indefinite delay; she sat there drawing for a full two hours before finally finishing the painting.

Anderson showed no signs of leaving, and killing someone in the tavern was clearly not a wise move, Neph chose to wait.

Anderson didn't leave until two hours later. Neph left the completed sketch on the table and quietly followed Anderson.

The man clearly hadn't expected to be followed by a Sequence 6 who was adept at stealth. Despite his caution, there were limits. Neph followed him for a while, and when they reached a sparsely populated alley, Neph realized it was time.

When Anderson sensed the chill brought by the snow, the cold had already seeped into his bones. He looked down and a long spear made of ice and snow pierced his waist and abdomen. The cold seemed to freeze the pain. He looked up and saw a girl in front of him dressed in the kind of clothing that pirates often wore for ease of movement. Her exposed face had a withered and lifeless look. If she hadn't been holding that Ice Spear that was stuck in his body, he might have praised her beauty.

In the brief moment of his stunned silence, Neph released her grip, and the Ice Spear melted silently, splattering blood as it was no longer obstructed. Neph dodged as expected, meeting his eyes at the same time. In the rapidly flashing memories, the colors of a scene quickly faded away.

That was his memory of being stabbed earlier!

Anderson's expression briefly showed confusion, Neph cautiously retreated. She did not approach again, but kept erasing Anderson's memories of the injury until the weakness caused by blood loss could no longer be ignored. Only then did Neph abandon this insidious trick.

But at this moment, Anderson was completely powerless to resist. Before falling to the ground, he took a deep look at Neph's face, as if he wanted to take this memory with him to the afterlife.

He didn't ask why, because for pirates, fellow pirates meant wealth and fame.

Neph stood quietly in place, the smell of blood in the air making her frown slightly. She didn't actually like the smell; it made her more uncomfortable than the killing itself—she seemed to feel nothing about having just killed someone, and at this moment she could still calmly consider whether to finish them off.

After confirming Anderson's death, Neph used her ice blade to decapitate him. Looking at the corpse on the ground, then at the head in her hand, she suddenly murmured:

"--If it's a ' Planter,' is it possible to make a headless corpse grow a head, and then use the newly grown head to continue collecting the bounty?"

"If the Sequence is sufficient, it should still be possible," a soft, alluring female voice rang out from above, "But you might be arrested by the Church."
