Klein looked away from the page of Roselle's Diary and, as his thoughts turned, arrived at a perfectly logical conclusion:
It must have been the gray fog!
That gray fog was possibly the Uniqueness of the Seer pathway, or a Divine Kingdom left behind by the previous Fool.
Viewed that way, it seemed entirely reasonable that it could lend him certain abilities in advance, such as a Sequence 2 Miracle Invoker's resurrection.
Was it even possible that there was a Sequence 2 characteristic above that gray fog?
At the same time, however, Klein quietly breathed a sigh of relief:
Sequence 2 of the Seer pathway was called Miracle Invoker, rather than something like Acrobat, Beast Tamer, or Magician.
That was just... wonderful!
After all, he had seriously considered whether Lin Chuan's remark that "Seers and Clowns are both professions found in a circus" might have been some veiled hint.
For instance, would the names from Sequence 7 to Sequence 1 simply cycle through all the remaining professions in a circus?
Considering that the Sequence 0 at the top of this pathway, a true god, actually bore the honorific name of the Fool, it hardly seemed impossible for the remaining Sequence names to come from a circus troupe...
But now, it seemed he was safe. Thank goodness. What a relief.
Klein gathered his thoughts, then turned his attention to another very important matter. After some consideration, he asked:
"If resurrection is a miracle... can a Miracle Invoker bring other people back to life?"
Lin Chuan shook his head, his words part explanation and part warning:
"No. This miracle of resurrection can only work on the Beyonder themselves, and only four times."
"Death is a harsh existence. It never allows anyone to escape for too long, not even an Undying."
He added
