Danitz had not slept this soundly in a long time.
First, Lumian-na had plied him with alcohol at sea, then Gehrman had treated him like a servant. After finally making it ashore, he had nearly been killed by "Steel" Maveti-Danitz felt that his luck had been rather poor lately.
Yet when that terrifying Demoness Lumian-na and that crazy Hunter Gehrman appeared beside him, Danitz had felt an overwhelming sense of security well up within him. Whenever he recalled that feeling, he found he could sleep quite comfortably.
The window in Danitz's room stood open, letting the sea breeze blow freely inside. Crimson moonlight shone on his face, deepening his slumber.
His snores grew louder, too.
Hmm- Danitz opened his eyes, feeling the hazy scene around him come back into focus.
Knock, knock, knock. The sound came from the door. Although momentarily puzzled, Danitz followed his subconscious impulses, walked over, and opened it.
Upon seeing the figure outside, Danitz looked surprised and blurted out, "Captain?"
Indeed, the visitor was a beautiful lady with an oval face, a high nose bridge, thin lips, and pale blue eyes like clear spring water.
Her long brown hair extended past her beige coat and dark brown skirt. On her feet were leather boots of the same dark brown.
"Captain, why did you suddenly come here? Weren't you still over in the Sonia Sea?"
"I just received news about your situation and changed course to check on you. The ship has only just entered the Rorsted Sea." Edwina, captain of the Golden Dream, explained her reasons to Danitz, then raised an eyebrow. "You seem surprised?"
Only then did Danitz catch on. He hurriedly said, "Yes, Captain. How did you find out what happened here?"
