"The Lord will soon descend upon this world. We are the most fortunate group of believers since the Fourth Epoch."
Nimrod continued:
"For we will witness the Lord's descent."
Watching the believers before him grow increasingly excited, Nimrod raised his voice:
"And precisely because of that!"
"We cannot continue as we did before-everyone, the Lord has awakened!"
"Could the most benevolent and merciful Lord truly need sacrifices of blood to descend upon this world? Of course not, my brethren. Other gods blinded us before. The Lord does not need blood sacrifices. What the Lord needs are the lambs He loves."
"The Lord's scriptures often say that He will bear all sins. But this cannot become our justification for doing evil. 'If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in our hearts' (note 1)."
"Even if the Lord shoulders the sins we once committed, does that mean we can face our past transgressions with a clear conscience?"
"Once we have weathered our current catastrophe, we will need a complete transformation-everyone, we must face our past mistakes honestly and let the Lord see His followers' devotion and efforts..."
The eyes of most Aurora Order believers present burned with fervent devotion, but a handful of Beyonders and ordinary people averted their gazes. Faced with the fanatical looks of those around them, however, they concealed their reactions well.
Nimrod saw all of this. He was not surprised that such people existed within the Aurora Order.
Rather, given the Aurora Order's previous methods, it would have been strange if it had not attracted people who wanted to use its power to indulge their desires.
Still, he had obtained the most important thing-the "True Creator's oracle"-and could now attempt to radically overhaul the Aurora Order.
