Bruce saw an illustration of Terror in the materials the church had given him. The demon had a roughly humanoid build and was white all over, even its eyes. Its muscles had sleek contours, and its imposing frame stood only a little taller than an ordinary person, at nearly three meters. Layers of white feathers formed a ring along the sides of its neck and across its shoulders. At first glance, it actually looked somewhat handsome.
Its appearance alone made its strength obvious, and that strength was no mere show. The materials explicitly stated that Terror was as powerful as a Red Bishop.
Extraordinaries had no precise power rankings, because their abilities varied. Some had no means of fighting, while others possessed very little spirituality power but had no need to rely on it. Each dealt with different aspects of the mysterious, so they could not be compared directly. Even among those with the same Extraordinary identity, individual techniques and proficiency differed.
Thus, although all Extraordinaries possessed spirituality power, its strength did not determine who was strong and who was weak. There was simply no clear standard by which to measure their strength.
They were all Extraordinaries; there was no hierarchy of superiority and inferiority based on strength.
The weak overcoming the strong, or mortals killing gods, was not unheard of.
Of course, there was still one very clear dividing line among Extraordinaries.
Gods stood far above Extraordinaries, but among Extraordinaries there was a special designation: Demigod, also known as God of the Mortal World. The strength of their spirituality power was likewise irrelevant.
Demigods had touched the authority possessed only by gods and acquired divinity. Their power far exceeded that of ordinary Extraordinaries, and they could already be addressed with the reverence reserved
