The moment Ernest considered the terrible things the Castro Family might do, he thought of Terror, the Castro Family's demon-that white demon with four arms.
The Castro Family rarely used their demon. They would only unleash him at a critical moment.
If it was for Julius's soul, they might summon the demon into this world.
Julius was imprisoned in Chelberly, so it had always been heavily guarded by the Night Watchers to prevent the Castro Family from unleashing their demon there. Walkervis, however, had no such heightened protection. If the demon appeared in Walkervis, the devastation would be unimaginable.
Beyond the destruction the demon himself would cause, there would be other chain reactions.
Even if Ernest went to stop Terror, the demon's influence would inevitably awaken the evil forces lurking in Walkervis. Unknown evil creatures would emerge, and the Church's Night Watchers would be run ragged.
It was easy to imagine how difficult that battle would be, and the cause was this very copy of Julius's Notes. Ernest took Julius's Notes out of his coat. He had kept them with him all along.
If Julius's soul really was sealed within these notes, the Church certainly would not return them to the Castro Family. The Church would never set a tiger free to return to the mountains.
Seeing Ernest's expression suddenly turn grave, Bruce and Fawcett both realized something was wrong. Terror, in particular, sounded like someone extremely difficult to deal with. Was he an important figure in the Castro Family?
It did not sound like a person's name. Perhaps it was a nickname.
"What exactly is this Terror?"
Bruce rubbed his fingers together and asked quietly. Ernest's reaction had naturally piqued his curiosity.
"Terror is a white demon, one controlled by the Castro Family. You'll be given some documents shortly.
