The Character Status Panel had always displayed a notice about Danvers's abnormal condition. If his investigation had uncovered anything this time, the panel should provide a corresponding notification.

When Bruce opened the Character Status Panel, the Grand Trend information had indeed changed.

The change was that the Grand Trend information concerning Danvers had disappeared.

The Grand Trend notification section was now completely empty.

It seemed he really had uncovered the root of the abnormal changes in Danvers: the awakening of her Witch bloodline. Bruce silently considered this possibility. He could not be certain whether the change was good or bad, or how much it had to do with him. In any case, that powerful Primordial Witch was already connected to him.

He hoped nothing terrible would happen.

Bruce tended to think about a great many things, but he still believed things would turn out well. Thinking about good things also helped him adjust his mood, stay positive and optimistic, and tackle problems steadily. Surely there was nothing wrong with that approach. Otherwise, with mysteries here and abnormalities there, he might end up a brooding hunk steeped in melancholy, and that was the last thing he wanted.

Bruce collected his thoughts.

"You don't need to worry, cousin. I'm an Extraordinary now, and I also work for the Church. You have to believe that we have the Church behind us. I'll keep you safe."

Bruce's reassurance eased some of the pressure Danvers felt. This matter had troubled her for a long time, and things were indeed as Bruce had said. Although some unpleasant thoughts surfaced in her mind, she had suffered no ill effects overall and could still lead a normal life.

As long as the Church would not treat her as a heretic, she could feel much more at ease.
