"Any word from the Wavebreaker Squad?" Eudora asked her adjutant, Hatch.
The White-Eared Water Rat pointed a trembling finger above the cabin of a nearby warship. "Captain, that looks like Captain Jerry."
How was that possible? Jerry was Freehold's finest master of warship sabotage. How could he have been captured so easily?
First, the enemy had proved immune to cannon fire. Then they had captured the Wavebreaker Squad alive. Under those twin blows, Eudora lost all reason.
Cannon fire was useless against those warships, and the Wavebreaker Squad could do nothing to them.
The invisible pressure forced Eudora to make her final decision.
In truth, Eudora had no need to rush, but the blood of beasts flowed through her veins, driving her to exaggerate the enemy's advantages.
Rowan had only four warships. Even if all four were invincible in this naval battle, four Iron Warships still could not end the war in a short time.
Besides, their ammunition and supplies could eventually be exhausted.
Eudora did not understand the principle of killing the squishy targets first. As long as the enemy team had a hero equipped with six divine items and sporting a godlike title, she believed they could not win without killing that strongest opponent.
It was the typical rank-climbing mentality of a grade-schooler. Too simple, too naive.
"The Behemoth will engage head-on. The Rodent Fleet will follow behind. All other ships will fight alongside Captain Jori's fleet."
Eudora decided to stake everything on this fight. Today, one side or the other would die.
Mobius and David exchanged bewildered looks as the Giant Rat flagship sailed straight toward them.
What was going on? Why charge headlong when they knew they were at a disadvantage?
Rowan was puzzled too. Wasn't staying tucked within the fleet safer than a frontal charge?
