"Delicious!"

Accustomed to salted fish, salad, and bread, Jaina tasted piping-hot fish slices for the first time.

The tender, silky slices were picked up with two wooden sticks and dipped into the bubbling, fragrant broth. After just a dozen seconds, they could be lifted out, cooled with a quick puff of air, and popped straight into the mouth.

The slightly spicy, richly fragrant broth instantly carried the fish's savory freshness to every taste bud.

How could anything in the world taste this good? Who knew Rowan was a secret foodie?

An outstanding man really could display unimaginable excellence in any field.

"Hasn't the naval battle settled down for now? Stay here a few more days." Lucille picked up several slices of fish for Rowan and placed them on his plate.

Although it was her first time using these stick-shaped utensils, she found them surprisingly easy to handle.

Rowan put more fish into the broth for the two beautiful girls and politely declined. "The naval battle isn't over yet. I'll come back to Snowforest Town once the war is completely finished."

Lucille did not push him. She gave him an understanding smile, her voice soft and sweet. "It's a promise, then. Could you come by yourself next time?"

It was a trap. Rowan immediately caught the pitfall in her words and looked toward Jaina.

Jaina had put down her chopsticks. Her bright, clear eyes were fixed on Rowan, waiting for his answer.

"I'm used to traveling with Jaina. We'll come together."

Lucille instinctively covered her mouth and looked apologetically at Jaina. "I almost forgot my dear friend. You absolutely must come too. Catfish from the Great Sea taste best in winter."

The corner of Jaina's mouth twitched, and she rolled her eyes at Lucille.
