Beneath the blood mist, countless slick, fleshy tendrils tangled together, forming an impenetrable barrier.

All the power of Jaina's spells was devoured by the flesh. Not even a trace of arcane residue remained.

Even Rowan, a veteran Warcraft player, could not identify the source of this bizarre power.

His only tentative conclusion was that it was power left behind by the Old Gods.

N'Zoth was a giant eyeball monster, and most of the Old God Servants under him were octopus-like Faceless Ones. Rowan had rarely seen any of N'Zoth's minions take the form of this red flesh in the game.

Yogg-Saron was known as the fiend of a thousand maws. Simply put, he was a giant mouth monster, skilled at using Whispers of the Old Gods to corrupt the Titan Keepers left behind by the titans, turning them against one another and destroying his enemies from within.

N'Zoth and Yogg-Saron were intelligent Old Gods. They excelled at using nightmares and whispers rather than brute force.

As for what the Old Gods were like in the real world, Rowan did not know. After all, he had yet to have any opportunity to encounter either of them.

Those two Old Gods wielded relatively dignified powers. They were unlikely to use such disgusting red blood mist, which looked like flesh that had not finished evolving. There was nothing impressive about it.

That left two Old Gods, including the strongest of them all-Y'Shaarj.

Y'Shaarj was the least intelligent of the four Old Gods. After occupying the continent of Azeroth, he had openly led the other Old Gods in challenging the Pantheon, only for Aman'Thul to crush him outright. Nothing remained of his body but sha energy and a heart buried deep in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms, watched over by the Titan Keeper Ra-den.
