Green-skinned demons?

Rowan's drowsiness vanished. The Cult of the Damned had opened a portal through some special means, which meant the Burning Legion's power had already invaded Azeroth through the hands of the Undead Mages.

In the game's story, the Scourge had originated with Kil'jaeden striking some agreement with the leader of Maldraxxus in the Shadowlands in exchange for the Helm of Domination. Kil'jaeden had reshaped Ner'zhul's broken soul into the Lich King to build an army of Scourge on Azeroth.

In short, however imposing the Scourge might be, however far its influence spread, it was only one part of the Burning Legion's plan to invade Azeroth and seize its World Soul.

Still, Rowan hadn't expected the Burning Legion to move so quickly.

To establish the great green-skinned demon's identity, Rowan specifically called Jaina and Sataia over.

Dalaran offered dedicated courses on demons, covering the weaknesses and strengths of their many different varieties in detail.

Every mage in Dalaran bore a responsibility to eradicate demons and preserve world peace. Jaina had never skipped class. She was bound to know her stuff.

As for Sataia, she was the lingering soul of an Old God who had lived for tens of thousands of years. Across all of Azeroth, the intelligent beings who knew more about the Burning Legion's demons than she did could be counted on one hand.

Jaina dug a stack of textbooks out of her bag, including illustrations of different types of demons.

There were many varieties of humanoid demons.

Doomguards, Fel Lords, Eredar wizards, Eredar warlocks, Eredar lords, Pit Lords, Felguards, Shivarra, and a whole host of other humanoid demons.

Number Zero took the illustrated book and leafed through it carefully before finally selecting one demon's picture.

"Are you sure it was this one?" Jaina asked for confirmation.
