Holy Word: Punish!

The disguise woven from fel burned to pieces, exposing dark green skin beneath the Holy Light as several clouds of black mist rose from it.

Holy Light and fel intertwined, the two energies reacting violently. The flesh caught in their clash lost its vitality and turned into lifeless clods of earth.

The Nathrezim had followed the Burning Legion on its campaigns across the worlds, slaughtering hundreds of orderly worlds that worshipped the Naaru.

Those worlds closely resembled the former Mac'Aree-the homeland of the Eredar.

Holy Light crystals dotted the wilderness. The land lay exposed to Holy Light elementals, and fanaticism and conquest became a storm of Holy Light.

Any foreign cosmic element different from Holy Light power was either transformed or destroyed by the fanatical faithful.

Across those enormous planets, barren wilderness stretched as far as the eye could see.

Yet even on worlds where Holy Light power was so widespread, it had never possessed the tremendous might of the Holy Light unleashed by Azeroth's humans.

Waves of aching pain radiated from Mal'Ganis's shoulder. He tried to use fel to reopen the veins that had lost their vitality, only to find that the wound struck by the Holy Light spell did not respond at all.

The damage was irreversible. At least with his current strength, Mal'Ganis could not restore the dead flesh in his shoulder.

As a Nathrezim spymaster and one of Lord Tichondrius's trusted subordinates, Mal'Ganis had a limitless future ahead of him. He was a thoroughly pedigreed heir to a demon lord's position.

This was Mal'Ganis's first mission in Azeroth, which he had entered through the route from the Mardum outpost.

Brimming with ambition, he had been eager to accumulate achievements and demand status from Lord Tichondrius and the Master of the Burning Legion.
