"Young Master Rowan, we've run out of shells," Risen reported.
Rowan pressed a hand to his forehead. That really was tragic news.
Without the Aircraft Carrier's naval guns slowing the nerubian army's advance, they would reach the Wrathgate early tomorrow morning.
"Let the soldiers eat and drink their fill, then head back to their quarters and get a good night's sleep," Rowan said with concern.
Risen's Fourth Artillery Unit had fought continuously for an entire day and night. The gunners had reached their mental and physical limits.
After all, firing cannons was skilled work. Anything that required both brains and physical effort was hardly going to be easy.

He couldn't just sit here waiting. If he had no cards left, he would find some more to play.
Having sorted out his thoughts, Rowan headed for the Floating Core control room.
"Archmage Ansirem, increase the carrier's flight speed. We need to get to the Wrathgate ahead of them."
Following Rowan's instructions,
