After lunch, Jaina and Rowan stayed in the workshop.
Jaina welded the steel plates while Rowan inspected the seams. They chatted and laughed as they worked, neither feeling tired at all.
Only when the evening glow quietly slipped into the room did Rowan stop working and hand Jaina a damp towel.
"Let's call it a day. Go back, take a hot bath, and get some proper rest," Rowan said, wiping his face.
They had made quick progress today. In less than eight hours, Jaina had finished the main welding work on two Steam Power Engines.
Jaina wanted to work overtime and weld another cylinder. "It's still early. I want to make one more cylinder."
"We have a whole week. A few hours won't make a difference. Balance work with rest-your health comes first." Rowan pushed Jaina toward the door by her shoulders.
After a few steps, Rowan noticed that several magical mirror images still remained in the workshop. "What about these mirror images? Aren't you going to dismiss them?"
What did he mean by dismiss them? Although Jaina did not understand Rowan's wording, she more or less understood what he meant.
"These spell images are persistent energy forms. As long as they don't take magical damage, they can remain here the whole time. They last about fifteen hours. They'll disappear when their time is up anyway, so just leave them here," Jaina said casually.
As long as they did not keep draining the caster's energy, that was fine. Seeing that they caused no problems, Rowan asked no further questions.
They had beef again for dinner. It had to be said that since Her Highness Jaina arrived in Morris Town, the food had genuinely improved considerably.
