Background / History

The protagonist transmigrates into Shisui Uchiha’s body after playing the Naruto mobile game. He becomes aware of the transfer while Hiruzen Sarutobi is lecturing him about sacrificing individual and clan interests for the Will of Fire. His knowledge of the world’s expected future leads him to reject that teaching and prioritize preventing the Uchiha massacre 1.

The body he inherits already belongs to a celebrated Uchiha shinobi. Shisui earned the name Body Flicker Shisui through his wartime accomplishments, including distinguished service during the Third Shinobi World War. He also inherits memories of regularly sparring with the young Itachi 2 7.

To act without making every intervention appear to represent the Uchiha Clan, he creates Senju Ye, supposedly a recently returned disciple of Hashirama Senju. His genuine Wood Release makes this false identity convincing to several observers. He separately registers Forsaken as a bounty hunter, adopting a much more openly unruly persona outside Konoha 1 4 22.

Appearance

• Eyes: His activated Sharingan is scarlet; his Mangekyō pattern resembles a four-bladed shuriken 9.
• Clothing and disguises: He wears a black robe when entering Amegakure, uses a mask for bounty work, and equips an Anbu uniform for the clone’s encounter with Obito 22 26.

Personality

Shisui is calculating and patient when concealment benefits him. He maintains the appearance of loyalty to Hiruzen, reports for duty, and uses declarations about the Will of Fire to reinforce others’ belief that he remains obedient. He avoids revealing Wood Release during Minato’s assessment because doing so could expose his alternate identity 3 6 9 11.

His concern for the Uchiha combines clan loyalty with self-preservation. He initially considers Fugaku unfit to lead, redirects Itachi’s beliefs, and refuses to leave the clan’s survival to its existing leadership. His methods are ruthless: he controls Fugaku with Kotoamatsukami, kills hostile shinobi without hesitation, and deliberately delays intervening against the Nine-Tails so the clan’s casualties will strengthen its public standing 1 2 29 32 37.

With Itachi, he is encouraging, teasing, and protective. He praises the boy’s improvement, challenges him to surpass his “big brother,” and arranges training to address his weak physical constitution. As Forsaken, he drops his restrained Konoha manner, openly provokes Pain, and persistently pursues Konan’s attention 2 16 22 25.

Wood Release

His system-granted Wood Release provides offensive constructs, defensive barriers, restraints, and enhanced recovery 1 9 13.

• Its vitality restores life force spent on Man and Sword as One and gradually replenishes ocular power 5 11 29.
• Before visiting Amegakure, he acknowledges that he has not learned Hashirama’s strongest Wood Release techniques or sage arts 21.

Sharingan and Kotoamatsukami

His Sharingan assists perception in combat, while his Mangekyō grants access to Susanoo and Kotoamatsukami 7 9.

• Kotoamatsukami can permanently alter a person’s thoughts. Shisui uses it to bring Fugaku under his control and order the Uchiha into battle 9 29.
• Against Fugaku, he reveals his identity to draw the clan head’s gaze and create an opening, rather than risk a reversal against another Mangekyō user 29.
• The technique still leaves him exhausted and temporarily unable to use it again, despite Wood Release recovery 29.

Susanoo and Spiral Sword

Shisui manifests a green Susanoo, initially as an incomplete upper-body skeleton, then reinforces it with flesh and Tengu Armor 9.

• Spiral Sword envelops Susanoo’s green weapon in a violent chakra tornado. Minato ends the test when Shisui prepares another strike 11.
