Among the onlookers in the distance were indeed a few students who had taken this route home. They were Obito's classmates.
As soon as everyone heard that someone knew who Obito was, they began asking those students about him.
"Kurenai! I said I'd make sure they each lost something! What do you think it should be?"
Obito looked at Kurenai Yuhi and asked with a mischievous grin.
As he spoke, Obito had already drawn a kunai and advanced step by step toward the three unconscious men.
All three had lost the ability to resist and were completely at Obito's mercy.
"Obito! Why don't we just leave it? They didn't really do anything to me."
Kurenai Yuhi hurriedly jumped down from the wall and jogged over to stop Obito.
This was Konoha, after all. She didn't want things to get out of hand.
If the situation became impossible to resolve, Obito would surely be punished too.
"Leave it? No way! How about this, then? I'll knock out one tooth each!"
Obito's eyes shifted as he seemed to make up his mind.
It was true that you had to consider the master before beating his dog, but Obito wasn't afraid of the Shimura Clan.
Whoosh! Whoosh!
Before Obito could act, three figures came leaping over from the distance in quick succession and blocked his path.
Obito instinctively tightened his grip on his kunai, ready to fight.
Only when he looked closely did he realize that all three seemed familiar.
They wore standard green flak jackets and all had black hair.
On both of their sleeves was a fan emblem, half red and half black.
It was the distinctive symbol belonging exclusively to the Uchiha, the Uchiha Clan's crest.
The man leading the three was the current Uchiha Clan Head, Uchiha Fugaku.
He also served as captain of the Konoha Military Police Force.
Fugaku was Itachi and Sasuke's father, though at this point, even Itachi hadn't been born yet.
"The Three-Tomoe Sharingan? You must be Obito Uchiha."
Uchiha Fugaku stared at Obito's blood-red eyes, his face filled with shock.
As head of the Uchiha Clan, Fugaku was a busy man.
Naturally, he couldn't know every member of the clan.
Besides, Obito was just an unremarkable dead-last student, hardly someone who would attract the clan head's attention.
But things were different now.
News that Obito had awakened three tomoe had already spread through the Ninja Academy.
Fugaku was well informed, so he had naturally learned of Obito awakening his eyes very quickly.
He simply found it hard to believe that someone could actually awaken the three-tomoe form the very first time they awakened their eyes.
Or had this Obito been hiding his strength all along, only revealing it now?
For now, however, Fugaku wasn't in a hurry to ask Obito about the details.
There were so many people watching, after all.
As a member of the Konoha Military Police Force, he ought to lead by example and focus on resolving this dispute.
"Oh, it's the clan head. Even you were alerted?" Obito nodded and replied with a touch of politeness.
Inside, however, Obito couldn't help grumbling.
You police officers really are something. When these three showed up looking for trouble, you were nowhere to be seen.
Now that the fight's over, you show up to take charge.
"We happened to be passing by and noticed the commotion from the fight, so we came to take a look."
As Fugaku spoke, he turned to glance at the three members of the Shimura Clan.
He asked Obito, "What exactly happened here, Obito?"
Obito folded his arms and answered honestly, "Nothing much. These guys picked a fight, so I beat them up instead."
"Oh?" Fugaku frowned.
Although he had gotten the general idea, Obito's vague explanation still left him confused.
"Hello, sir. Let me explain for Obito."
Kurenai Yuhi stepped forward. Seemingly afraid that Obito might stir up more trouble, she hurried to explain things to Fugaku.
"Sir...?" The corner of Uchiha Fugaku's mouth twitched.
What's wrong with this little girl's eyes? Do I look that old?
I'm still a handsome young man in my twenties...
Kurenai Yuhi froze for a moment.
Only then did she realize that the man before her, with his long, square face, seemed a little sensitive about being addressed as an older man.
She hurriedly corrected herself. "Uh... big brother, I mean, let me explain for Obito. I know exactly what happened."
"Mm, all right." Fugaku nodded helplessly, still feeling a little glum.
This little girl clearly only changed how she addressed me because she had to. She must still think of me as an older man...
Kurenai then recounted the whole incident from beginning to end.
That included the conflict between Baoguo and Obito.
She also explained that Baoguo was Danzo's nephew, that these three men were his subordinates sent here on his orders, and so on.
"Members of the Shimura Clan? That makes things a little complicated." Fugaku frowned.
Danzo controlled Root, and he was fiercely protective of his own.
If Danzo found out that members of his clan had been beaten up, Obito would most likely be in for trouble.
After thinking it over and making up his mind, Fugaku asked Obito, "How about this, Obito? Come with me to see the Third Hokage. We'll report this to him and have him help you resolve it."
"Otherwise, once these three go back and complain to Danzo, they'll probably bring you a lot of trouble."
Fugaku knew perfectly well that when the Shimura Clan was involved, even the Konoha Military Police Force couldn't intervene so easily.
Fortunately, Obito was in the right in this matter. They only needed to bring it to the Third Hokage.
With the Third Hokage helping to handle it, dealing with Danzo would certainly be easier.
Fugaku laid out all these concerns and waited for Obito's answer.
"Obito, why don't you listen to the clan head and go see the Third Hokage?"
Kurenai tugged at Obito's arm. She didn't want this matter to escalate either.
The plan Fugaku had proposed was the best option available.
"All right, then. Let's do that." Obito nodded.
Obito truly hadn't expected this clan head to put so much thought into helping him.
Was it because Obito had awakened three tomoe and had limitless potential, making him worthy of attention?
Or was this clan head genuinely so dedicated to the affairs of his clansmen?
Whatever the real reason, following Fugaku's arrangements was a very good choice for now.
"You two, tie them all up and take them to the Hokage's Office."
Fugaku gave the order to the two clansmen from the Konoha Military Police Force behind him.
"Yes, Captain!" Both men nodded in acknowledgment.
As members of the Konoha Military Police Force, the Uchiha clansmen all addressed Fugaku as captain when they were out in public.
Only after returning to the clan did they switch to calling him clan head.
"Obito! Let's go." Fugaku called to him.
