The Third Hokage, That Old Lecher

The afternoon classes soon ended.

At Teacher Liangtian's announcement that class was over, the students happily left the academy.

They gathered in little groups, chattering about where to play and where to get something tasty to eat.

Only Obito, Rin, Baoguo, and Mizuki stayed behind.

Obito stayed because he had promised to clean the classroom.

As Obito's deskmate, Rin was willing to help him.

As for Baoguo, he stayed to save face, of course.

He had lost his bet with Obito and promised to stay behind to clean the academy's toilets.

Only Mizuki took the art of bootlicking to its absolute limit.

He was actually willing to stay behind and help Baoguo clean the toilets. He really had no shame.

Before long, the classroom was clean.

Obito left the classroom with Rin. On their way out of the academy, he turned to look toward the toilets.

Baoguo and Mizuki were hard at work, one holding a plunger and the other a mop, washing them under the tap.

Obito couldn't resist waving and shouting, "Baoguo! Mizuki! Keep up the good work! This is only your first day. You've got plenty more days of toilet cleaning ahead!"

Baoguo whipped his head around in fury, glaring at Obito with eyes that nearly spat fire. "Damn you, Obito Uchiha! I'll make you pay for this!"

Mizuki chimed in, "Baoguo, don't stoop to the level of an annoying jerk like Obito. Getting angry will only hurt your health."

Baoguo said bitterly, "Just you wait. I'll tell Uncle Danzo and have him find a way to deal with him."

On the street outside the academy gates.

Rin and Obito walked side by side.

Rin seemed to have something on her mind. She kept glancing at Obito, but didn't know how to bring it up.

"What's wrong, Rin? If there's something you want to ask, go ahead." Obito had naturally noticed what she was thinking.

Rin nodded. "Okay! Obito, why weren't you this strong before? How did you suddenly awaken your Sharingan today?"

Rin came from an ordinary family and didn't know much about the Sharingan.

But from what her classmates had said, she could more or less tell that it was very powerful.

"Rin! I've actually always been this strong. I just never showed it before." Obito chuckled.

That sounded rather shameless.

Still, as far as anyone else was concerned, it was an indisputable fact.

They couldn't possibly imagine that Obito had a system that let him awaken the Mangekyo in an instant...

Over their years at the Ninja Academy, Rin had spent almost every day with Obito as his deskmate.

She had a pretty good idea of how strong he really was.

Rin rolled her eyes. "Yeah, right. If you don't want to tell me, forget it. I was only curious anyway."

"But honestly, seeing you teach that annoying Baoguo a lesson felt really satisfying."

Obito chuckled. "Rin! As long as you're happy, I'll beat Baoguo up again if he ever dares to upset you."

The second-floor office of the Hokage's office building.

Hiruzen Sarutobi sat behind his desk, holding a crystal ball in both hands.

The image in the crystal ball showed a bathing pool in one of Konoha's women's bathhouses.

Dozens of young women sat naked around the pool, splashing the water as they laughed and played.

"Mmm... this one's nice. Full waist, plump bottom."

"Mmm... this one's nice too. Big hips are good for bearing sons. Hahaha..."

Hiruzen Sarutobi wore a lecherous expression, chuckling continuously.

He stared fixedly at the crystal ball, afraid of missing even the smallest detail. He was practically pressing his eyes against it.

Knock, knock, knock...

Suddenly, someone knocked on the office door.

A man's voice rang out from the hallway outside:

"Lord Hokage! Teacher Liangtian from the Ninja Academy is here to see you."

Interrupted during his enjoyable bout of "ball watching," Hiruzen Sarutobi immediately looked displeased.

He glanced toward the door and said impatiently, "Ask him what he wants! Tell him not to disturb me unless it's important! I'm busy!"

"Lord Hokage! Teacher Liangtian says it's urgent! Perhaps you could spare a moment to see him!"

"All right! Send him in!" Hiruzen Sarutobi had no choice but to put away the crystal ball reluctantly.

The office door creaked open.

Liangtian hurried forward and bowed before the desk. "Lord Hokage!"

Hiruzen Sarutobi gave a quiet grunt. "Tell me what it is."

Liangtian nodded. "Yes, Lord Hokage! I'd like to report something that happened this afternoon."

"Obito Uchiha defeated Hokoku Shimura in a sparring match this afternoon."

"Oh?" Hiruzen Sarutobi looked slightly surprised.

Hiruzen Sarutobi had kept an eye on the latest class of students approaching graduation.

He naturally knew that Hokoku Shimura was Danzo's nephew and that the boy was quite strong.

He had also heard of Obito Uchiha's reputation as the class dead last.

"So Obito Uchiha has improved considerably lately?"

Liangtian nodded. "Lord Hokage, that is true, but Obito... he has actually awakened the Uchiha Clan's kekkei genkai, the Three-Tomoe Sharingan."

"What?!" He broke into a fit of coughing.

Hiruzen Sarutobi had just lit his pipe and taken a deep drag.

Liangtian's words startled him so badly that he choked on the smoke and couldn't stop coughing.

Only after a while did he manage to catch his breath, patting his chest. He stared at Liangtian with wide eyes. "Liangtian! Do you realize what you're saying?"

Was this some kind of joke? Obito had awakened the Three-Tomoe Sharingan?

The Sharingan always started with one tomoe when it first awakened, then evolved step by step as its user's strength increased.

Hiruzen Sarutobi had thoroughly investigated all of this.

Even among the Uchiha's extraordinary prodigies, there were only cases of awakening two tomoe at the outset.

Awakening three tomoe all at once was simply unheard of.

Liangtian naturally noticed the doubt in Hiruzen Sarutobi's eyes and hurried to explain:

"Lord Hokage! Everything I've said is true. Every student in my class saw Obito awaken the Three-Tomoe Sharingan on the training field this afternoon."

Seeing Liangtian's earnest gaze, Hiruzen Sarutobi knew that this was probably all true.

He collected himself and smiled. "Liangtian, you've done well. This deserves recognition. I'll increase your salary by twenty percent next month."

"Thank you, Lord Hokage." Liangtian nodded happily and hurriedly bowed.

The twenty-percent raise wasn't the most important part. What mattered was earning the Hokage's appreciation. There might even be a chance of promotion in the future.

Hiruzen Sarutobi said, "All right, you may go."

Liangtian thanked him again before turning to leave.

"Obito Uchiha, was it?" Hiruzen Sarutobi murmured, watching Liangtian's retreating figure.
