Zou Hyuga learned why the Ōtsutsuki depended on Chakra Fruits as the Ten-Tails consumed him and Isshiki. After Isshiki gave his power to the Ten-Tails and vanished, Zou emerged as the God Tree grew, uncertain of his new role and still facing Kaguya.

• As his body merged with the Ten-Tails, Zou Hyuga realized the Ōtsutsuki relied on Chakra Fruits to avoid being consumed by their offspring.
• Isshiki admitted Zou had deliberately let the Ten-Tails swallow him to kill Isshiki, then offered to spare him if he ate the Chakra Fruit and continued the Ōtsutsuki mission.
• Zou hesitated over Isshiki's offer, while Isshiki willingly fed his accumulated chakra to the Ten-Tails and urged Zou to become a god among the stars.
• After Isshiki's chakra disappeared, the Ten-Tails transformed into the God Tree, and Zou stepped through a spatial portal.
• Zou saw Isshiki's power in a cross-shaped eye, considered the Ōtsutsuki Main Family's coming arrival, and turned his attention to Oto Uchiha and the threat of Kaguya.

After killing Isshiki, Zou Hyuga chose to grow stronger to protect his peaceful life from the Ōtsutsuki Main Family, while Oto Uchiha promised to support him. They confronted Kaguya, who transported them between dimensions to fight, and the battle continued in a lava-filled cavern.

• Zou Hyuga told Oto Uchiha that Isshiki had died willingly and revealed that Elder Xiong had been Isshiki in disguise.
• Zou Hyuga decided to follow Isshiki's wishes and pursue greater strength to defend against the Ōtsutsuki Main Family.
• Zou Hyuga picked the Chakra Fruit, and the moon and Miniature God Tree withered into a lifeless world.
• Oto Uchiha released the Ten-Tails, which transformed into Kaguya Otsutsuki, and Kaguya transported them all into a frozen dimension.

Zou Hyuga and Oto defeated Kaguya Otsutsuki by exploiting her lack of combat experience, then offered her a chance to join them against the Ōtsutsuki Main Family. Kaguya remained wary of surrendering her chakra, but hearing that Hagoromo and Hamura wanted her freed eased her doubts.

• Kaguya switched between Primordial Ball Worlds but could not turn the battle around, and Zou Hyuga and Oto wounded her with their attacks.
• Kaguya trapped everyone in the Gravity World and used All-Killing Ash Bones, but Limbo Clones and black cubes intercepted the attacks.
• Zou Hyuga pinned Kaguya beneath black cubes and, with Oto, stopped her escape attempts using Black Rods and Kamui.

Zou Hyuga and Oto joined forces with Kaguya, restored the Ten-Tails’ chakra to the moon, and moved the tailed beasts into the Kamui Dimension before returning to the battlefield. There, the Five Kage woke to learn the war was not truly over, while the Third Hokage spotted signs that an Infinite Tsukuyomi might have occurred on the moon.

• Kaguya reconsidered cooperating with Zou Hyuga after learning that Hagoromo and Hamura had spared her, and Zou judged that they should work together against the Ōtsutsuki Main Family.
• Zou Hyuga, Oto, and Kaguya returned to the moon, where Kaguya released the Ten-Tails and restored chakra to the Lunar Interior.
• Kaguya turned the Ten-Tails back into the nine tailed beasts, and Zou Hyuga sent them into the Kamui Dimension with Oto’s help.

• Madara and Hashirama reflected on the battle’s stakes as Fugaku predicted that the shinobi side would win the war.
• Oto returned from the battle, separated Black Zetsu from Obito, and sent Black Zetsu to reunite with Kaguya in another dimension with Zou Hyuga.
• Oto left Obito’s fate to Zou, who said Nagato and Konan could decide what happened to their enemy.
• Zou told the Akatsuki members that their mission was over and that no Ōtsutsuki threat would reach the shinobi world for at least ten years.
• Zou and Oto returned to the Five Kage and the assembled shinobi, who understood that the Ōtsutsuki had been defeated.

Years after the war, Oto Uchiha ruled as Fifth Hokage while Zou Hyuga helped govern and prepared the Shinobi World for Otsutsuki threats. They and Kaguya defeated Momoshiki, Kinshiki, and Urashiki, leaving Zou ready to plan his wedding with Oto.

• Oto Uchiha became the Fifth Hokage and imposed stricter limits on the ninja clans while promoting commoner ninja.
• Oto passed her paperwork to Zou Hyuga, and they ordered the Akatsuki to eradicate a cult worshipping the Otsutsuki.
• After Toneri warned them that three Otsutsuki were approaching, Zou and Oto went to the moon to prepare for battle.
• Momoshiki and Kinshiki headed for the moon while Urashiki slipped into the Shinobi World, where the Ley Line Consciousness defeated him.
