Self-introductions

Ruri sat down in his seat, smiled at the girl beside him, and said, "Hello, my name is Ruri Hyuga. It's nice to be in the same class as you!"

After Ruri spoke, the little girl named Momokusa Harukawa glanced at him, a faint blush instantly rising to her cheeks. "Um, h-hello. It's nice to meet you too. My name is Momokusa Harukawa," she said shyly.

As soon as Harukawa finished speaking to Ruri, she lowered her head, her face turning even redder.

"Momokusa Harukawa... Harukawa," Ruri repeated. "That's a beautiful name. It suits how pretty you are!"

That did it. Harukawa's face turned completely red. She was a very shy little girl, and Ruri was quite a handsome boy. How could she not feel shy around him?

After speaking, Ruri looked around the classroom to see where Uchiha Itachi had sat down. He spotted Itachi in the second row, just ahead of his own seat in the third.

"Quiet, everyone. Let's have you come up and introduce yourselves so you can all get to know one another!" Asuma Sarutobi had the students come up one by one to introduce themselves.

As soon as Asuma Sarutobi finished speaking, a little boy left his seat and walked up to the front of the classroom. Looking out at the others, he said, "Hello, everyone. My name is Akagimaru, and I'm five years old. My dream is to become a member of the Anbu and protect Konoha from the shadows. That would be really cool..."

Akagimaru stood at the front, speaking, with a head of beautiful red hair. Although he was only five, he looked a little more mature than the other children his age.

Ruri studied Akagimaru's face. It was clearly an unfamiliar one, never mentioned in the original story. Still, they were classmates now, so Ruri would be spending time with him from now on.

Once Akagimaru finished, he returned to his seat and sat down. Next, Uchiha Itachi stood up and walked to the front.

"Hello, everyone. My name is Uchiha Itachi. I look forward to getting along with you all..." Uchiha Itachi's introduction was very brief. Despite his young age, his expression remained perfectly composed, but he still caused a stir among the students.

"Hey, that guy's from the Uchiha Clan, right?"

"Yeah, yeah! He's so handsome!" a girl said dreamily, cupping her cheeks in both hands. Clearly, Uchiha Itachi's looks were very popular in the class, especially among the girls.

"Tch, what's so great about him? He's just a little better-looking. Strength is what really matters," the boy beside her said jealously.

"Shh, keep your voice down. He's from the Uchiha Clan. I heard he's the Uchiha Clan Head's son. The Uchiha Clan isn't one to mess with! We'd better be careful!"

After his brief introduction, Uchiha Itachi coolly returned to his seat and sat down. The girl beside him kept gazing at him dreamily.

Soon, it was Ruri's turn. He walked to the front and gave a brief introduction as well.

"Hello, everyone. My name is Ruri Hyuga. I look forward to getting along with you all!"

"Wow, another handsome boy! I suddenly feel so lucky to be in this class!" Seeing Ruri's handsome face at the front, several girls were practically swooning.

But a few boys nearby said disdainfully, "What's the big deal? Are all the boys from the Uchiha and Hyuga clans just pretty faces? They look so frail a breeze could knock them over!"

"Look at the white bandage on his forehead. He must be a member of the Hyuga Clan's Branch Family..." Several boys continued discussing Ruri.

Ruri ignored the chatter below. Once he finished introducing himself, he left the front and returned to his seat.

"Harukawa, come on, it's your turn!" Ruri said, looking at Momokusa Harukawa beside him.

At Ruri's words, Harukawa's face turned bright red again. "Mm, okay. I'll go now," she said shyly.

With that, Harukawa walked bashfully to the front. Looking at her classmates with a flushed face, she said shyly, "Hello, everyone. My name is Momokusa Harukawa. My best friend is Reika Hyuga. I look forward to getting along with you all!"

As soon as Harukawa finished, she hurried back to her seat and sat down.

Next, another girl walked to the front and introduced herself. "Hello, everyone. My name is Reika Hyuga. Like Ruri, who introduced himself earlier, I'm from the Hyuga Clan. My best friend is Momokusa Harukawa, and my dream is to become a great kunoichi like Tsunade. It's lovely to meet you all. I look forward to getting along with everyone!"

After the two beautiful girls finished their introductions, the classroom instantly erupted with excitement.

"Wow, you're both so pretty! If only one of you could be my girlfriend!"

"Yeah, we're incredibly lucky to be in Team Five!"

Hearing the people around her, Momokusa Harukawa instantly blushed again. She lowered her head, not daring to look at anyone nearby.

I didn't notice earlier, but there's another member of the Hyuga Clan in this class besides me! And she's a really pretty girl, too... Ruri thought as he watched the pretty girl at the front.
